Old Well

Finally, after long wait, spring has sprung. I love that grass has turned to green and there are tiny leaves on some type of trees already. It's a sign that summer is soon to follow :)

I used new rubber stamp revealed this month - Old Well #703. It's gorgeous. Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with markers.

I added Sakura Glue Pen to the blossoms and covered it with Blissful Blue Sparkle N Soft.
Please forgive the cat hair on the photo. It's not permanent embellishment. I just didn't notice it until now.

I also covered parts of the bushes with Sakura Glue Pen and added Grassy Green Flocking on top. I left some coloring of the bushes to show. I think it gives more dimension to them.

Sentiment is stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Fiery Brown EP. Butterflies are die cut out of Sticker Paper and covered with Sunny Daze glitter. I colored back side with yellow marker. Color seep through the front and makes the glitter more vibrant.

Edges of the bottom layer are covered with 3/4" Double-Sided "Tear-ific" Tape After adhering decorative layer on top I added Blissful Blue Sparkle N Soft to the places where tape was revealed.

Edges of the image layer and the banner are covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Waterfall glitter.

My favorite stamps

Every month one of the Stamping Sensation Designers will share their five favorite stamps. It's my turn now. Oh boy... It's much more difficult then making a card. I have to admit that I failed. I am not able to choose five single stamps. I bring out five stamp sets and try to select favorite images in there.
I'll start with my favorite background stamp: Sparkle N Sprinkle Crackle Background. It's fabulous for adding pattern and texture to all kind of projects.
On this suitcase I stamped the image with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Copper Flame and Caramel embossing powders. I like how this pattern makes it look like an old leather.

Crackle Background looks awesome on masculine cards. On this graduation card it's stamped again with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Clear Detail EP.

I love butterflies. I reach over and over again to the Hero Arts Butterflies #3 set. I can't choose which butterfly from the set is my favorite.

On following card I used butterflies as embellishments. They are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Promarkers and fussy cut.

I also love flourishes and swirls. I have many sets but Viva D├ęcor Floral Embellishments I like most. My favorite stamp in there is the largest.

Here's a card with the large flourish and previously mentioned butterflies. Flourish is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and I added some stickles to it.

Sparkle N Sprinkle Shabby Chic Birdhouse  is most gorgeous stamp set I have. I love these pretty images and beautifully designed sentiments.

The bird from this set is so adorable. It's perfect for spring cards. Here's one earlier card I used this image.

http://kaardimaania.blogspot.com/2014/02/bird-cage.html

I also used the birdhouse and sentiment on a chocolate pocket card.

Here is one more beautiful stamp set - Sparkle N Sprinkle Dahlia. Again, I'm not able to choose one favorite stamp from the set - maybe two: largest flower and leaves. But they are all wonderful.

You can make awesome layering with those images. On following card, largest flower is popped up in four layers.

That's it! Full details of all the cards are linked to my blog.

Spring Window

Father Weather is very confused lately in Estonia. You'll go to sleep at Spring, and woke up at Winter. Followed by Autumn and then it's Spring again. Go figure... My card is inspired by this crazy weather.

I used beautiful new stamp set named Spring Window #704. It's absolutely gorgeous! I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers.

This image is fabulous all by it self, so I didn't want to add many embellishments to the card. I just used branch and blooms die cut with Spellbinders Sherry Blossoms dies. I added dots with Buttercup Liquid Pearls to the center of each blossom.

Edges of the matting layers are covered with 1/8" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape. Places where matting layer shows through the ripped pattern paper are covered with 3/4" Double-Sided "Tear-ific" Tape. After top layers was adhered to the center of matting layers I covered rest of the  tape with Fascination glitter.
I sprinkled some Super Thick White embossing powder here and there and heated them with heat tool from underneath the paper.

Sentiment is stamped with VersaMark ink and its heat embossed with Fiery Brown EP. Sentiment is popped up from the center with foam tape and glued down from the both ends.

If I use my imagination, I can see all seasons represented on this card: shabby pattern paper is for Autumn; White EP as snow for Winter; Image and branch with blooms for spring; and I can see even summer from blue glitter as sparkling water.

Pretty in Pink

Happy Easter! I don't have any Easter card to share but this will work too, I guess :)
It' is time for a new monthly challenge at the Stamping Sensation. I enjoyed watching all these masculine cards last month. You all gave me lots of inspiration. This month our theme is easier: Pretty in Pink.

Our awesome sponsor this month is PDA.  The prize is £40 store voucher. Believe me, you want it! They have sponsoring Stamping Sensation before, and I won it :) I wasn't part of the Stamping Sensation team back then. PDA is a fabulous shop with wonderful people. Even though my country wasn't their shipping destination list, they still managed to send my parcel to me. Super service!

PDA sell quality cardstock, pre scored cards and envelopes, essentials such as Spellbinder dies and embossing folders, Imagination Crafts beautiful Sparkle Medium, and some cute charms and crystals from Hobby House. The website is always changing, so call back regularly for all the latest products.

I used lovely bird from  Shabby Chic Birdhouse #481 stamp set as a main image. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and it's colored with Promarkers. I've never seen any pink birds but I couldn't resist. He looks so cute with pink feathers.

I added the sentiment inside to the card in same position as is the bird in front of the card. If card is closed, you can't see it. In the middle panel is a personal message to the recipient.

All pink pattern paper layers are inked with Worn Lipstick Distress ink. I used Crackle Background #609 stamp, VersaMark ink and Sparkle embossing powder to add discreet texture to the pattern papers.

All flowers are die cut with Spellbinder Blooms Four dies out of white cardstock. I inked them with Scattered Straw and Dandelion inks. I also added some pearls to the flowers. Leaves are die cut with a die from Memory Box Fabulous Phlox set and swirl is from Elegant Scrollwork.

I like to make cards with different fold. This time I made a Label Flap Gate Fold Card.

The watercan with flowers and butterfly are digital images from Friendship Flowers #702 Digi set. The banner with sentiment is from  Friendship Flowers #702 rubber set. I stamped it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Fiery Brown EP. All images are colored with Promarkers.

Card is held closed with two thin magnets. One is hidden underneath the pattern paper on first fold  and second is behind the flowers on the inside of the flap.

The Flap is inked with Peeled Paint Distress ink. Same color was also used to ink the edges of each pattern paper layer.

I stamped flourishes and words from the Flourishes One #516 stamp set to the pattern papers with VersaMark ink and heat embossed them with Sparkle EP.

Edges of the purple matting layers are covered with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Lacy Lilac glitter.

Here you can see how the card looks then it fully opened.
Images and sentiment are also from Friendship Flowers #702 Digi set.

We hope you enjoy the New Reveals as much as we do!  Last month the winner came from Shona's blog.  Wonder which Designer contains the Grand Prize winner this month?

Your next stop is Anne's blog.

Espresso Yourself Easel card

I'm back to my favorite card type - an easel card. They are so fun to make and they look wonderful.

I used image and sentiment from Espresso Yourself #699 Stamp Set. It's one of the new sets that Sparkle N Sprinkle  released in the beginning of the month.

Coffee cup is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and it's colored with Promarkers. It is popped up with foam tape. I also added a green die cut flourish behind the cup.

The steam is covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Crystal Ice glitter. I sprinkled some Super Thick White and Copper Flame embossing powders to the golden paper and heated then underneath the paper.

The sentiment is stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Brown Fizz EP. I added Sakura Glue Pen to the heart and covered it with Goldenrod glitter. Same glue and glitter was used to draw an oval around the sentiment.

Brown matting layers are heat embossed with Brown Fizz embossing powder.

Caffeinated

Today I want to share a simple card. I used Coffee Shoppe #695 Digital stamps on it.

Image is colored with Promarkers. I added Glossy Accents to the classes.

I used some old scrap pieces made with glitters (Luau Green, Daisy, Orchid Rose) and lace on the Sticker Paper. It's easy. Just lay lace to the Sticker Paper and cover rest of the sticky part with glitter. Remove lace and add another color of glitter to the Sticker Paper.
Dark red strip is heat embossed with Sangria Star EP.

I also added some clear rhinestones to embellish the card.

Card base is covered with golden paper. Matting layer of the image is inked with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Sangria Star EP.

Materials used:
