Another Magic Card

Hello my friends! I'm super excited today. I was asked to be a quest designer for Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges. It is an awesome opportunity and I couldn't say no. Their theme is Anything goes with stamped image. This is easy :)

Sentiment: "Most beautiful moments in life often comes as a surprise"

I told you few weeks ago that I show you one more magic card. This one is improved and works much better then my first magic card. You can find lots of guides for Magic card but I made some modifications. I struggled with my first card to pull the tag out and it was difficult to push it back in. So I added strips of heavy cardstock to the edges to give the tag some room to slide in and out. It works perfectly. I made a sort of template to help you understand better what I'm trying to say.

I used darling Rocco with Roses as the main image. He is stamped to the cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Sentiment was computer generated. Rocco is stamped to the acetate with Black StazeOn.
Then you watch my template you see that the cardstock with stamped image is cut in funny shape at the bottom. I like it because then you pull the tag it gives you an illusion that the tag is with same width 'til the end.

Magic cards are so much fun and easy to make. I added an easel to behind the card to help it stand.

I didn't made a photo of it but the message for the receiver was back side of the tag.  I made this card for my neighbour who is my dog best friend. He takes my dog to a long walk every day. He loves animals So I thought Rocco is perfect for him. Hi was amazed then he saw this card and didn't understand how can a black and white image change to colored image. After seeing his reaction I love Magic cards even more :)

Go to Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges blog to see what their talented team has done to inspire you. I can't wait to see their new projects.

Thank you for the visit.

Cosmic Wish

Hello my friends. March was strange month for me. I just didn't had ideas how and what cards to make. Then I saw this pretty card. I loved the colorful main panel with elegant flourish. I wanted to try to make similar card with glitters. Here's the result.

Even though it is a bit to 'clean' for me I'm very happy with this card. I used lots of glitters and some embossing powders on it.

SNS Microfine Velvet Glitters are perfect for this technique. First I placed strip of 2 1/" Tear-ific tape to a white cardstock. After removing the protective sheet I started with Goldenrod Glitter in the center and moved to the edges with different glitters (see list below). To avoid rough line from one glitter to another just mix small amount of glitters together. The all the tape was covered and glitters was burnished in good I stamped big flourish from Flourishes Two stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Detail EP. Then I cut small squares from it. To hide the white cardstock peeking from the sides I run the dark purple marker all around the sides. It also gives a nice border. Each square is adhered to a slightly larger white square.

Now you can see a close up from this cool embossed layer. One edge of white cardstock is die cut with Memory Box Cosmo Border. Entire CS is inked with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Dark Night EP. It looked fabulous already but then I added another layer of Versamark Ink and sprinkled ... hmm now I'm confused.... Directions I wrote while making the card says: Blueberry EP, but somehow it looks more like a Wisteria EP. I pretty sure I used Wisteria EP, why I wrote Blueberry I don't know. But does't it look fantastic - like a cosmos...

I had some leftover glittered pieces from the card front. They ware too pretty to throw away so I adhered them to the inside of the card.

Before you continue the hop, few words and some photos of my easel step card. Of course I had to make another easel card.

To make my easel card a bit different from the ones I usually make, I added some step card elements to it. Here's a side view. Isn't it fun!

This beautiful image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and is colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I scribbled Sakura Glue Pen to the water and added fabulous Surf Glitter on top.

The corner die cut is covered with Versamark ink and it's heat embossed with Flashy Flamingo EP. I also made some pearls on top.

Here's ne more photo to show this amazing Surf Glitter. I love the different colors in it. It looks like a real water sparkling under the sun.
The first layer of grass is heat embossed with Spring Willow EP. Other layers are inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

Pink layer in inside of the card is heat embossed with Flashy Flamingo and Sweetheart EPs. To the upper left corner I stamped Diamond Medallion with Versamark Ink. I covered it with Stickum Powder and melted the powder with heat tool. After that I applied the Surf Glitter on top.
I also stamped some Diamond Medallions with Versamark Ink to the back of the card front and heat embossed with Flashy Flamingo EP. If I'd do it again, I would stamp before folding the card :)

Here's a photo of my card then it's closed. The pink layers on the sides are heat embossed with Flashy Flamingo EP. Then I stamped Diamond Medallion with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Raspberry Tart EP.
You can find full instructions of my card from SNS Gallery here. I made a template for you if you need one. It's in here.
Next stop on your hop is talented Mayra Hernandez.

Chocolate Pocket Card

Hello my friends! I'm very happy to finally say: Welcome Spring! Sun is shining and snow is almost gone. Even the Snowdrops and Snowflakes came out under the snow without any harm. They are blooming and are so pretty. But now, to my spring theme project. I love card making, chocolate and blue color. Because of that, I decided to make a chocolate pocket and use lots of blues on it. So here it is.

On this project I used one of my favorite stamp set - Shabby Chic Birdhouse. There are so pretty images and wonderful sentiments. It's just pure joy to use them.

Image is colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I added some Dimensional Glue to the Bird House ornamented edge and sprinkled Lavender Iris Glitter on top. I colored the ribbons behind the roses with Sakura Glue Pen and added Fascination and Waterfall Glitters on top. Image is attached to the Floral Oval with foam tape. Behind the image layer I put a blue fuzzy yarn.

Inside of the card is a pocket for chocolate.

My card holds my favorite Estonian chocolate - Milk chocolate with plum and biscuit. Mmm... it's delicious. Ok, back to the card....

Edges of the pattern papers are ink with Tea Dye Distress Ink. After that I applied lots of Versamark to the edges and heat embossed with Sparkle EP. Because there can never have too much sparkle I draw few lines to the pattern paper with Sakura Glue Pen and added Waterfall Glitter on top :) Floral Oval is inked with Broken China Distress Ink. All the butterflies used on my project are punched out from Sticker Paper. Pink Butterflies are covered with Bubble Gum Glitter and blue butterfly on front cover is covered with Waterfall Glitter.

Sparkling matting layers are made with Tear-ific Tape, Fascination and Waterfall Glitters. These two glitters goes together so well. To make the matting layer I took piece of white cardstock and colored the edges with light blue marker. Then I placed 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape to the edges, removed protective layer, placed patterned paper in center and covered rest of the tape with glitters. Or you can just use colored cardstock. Because Waterfall glitter is semi-transparent I prefer to have blue cardstock under it (on this project).

Cool thing about embossing powders is that you can make your own custom color brads with them. Just tip the brad to the Versamark Ink and add EP on top. After heating it with heat, gun you have brad that mach your project. Because the Cotton Candy EP (I used it on my brad) is semi-transparent it's good idea to use light brad. Or if you only have dark brads use White EP first and then add semi-transparent EP.

I made the tassel my self out of white twine. With help of the fork I got perfect size tassel. After it was finished I tipped in to the Caribbean Blue Glimmer Mist to re color the twine. After drying it was too dark, so I washed some color off with warm water. I'm very pleased how it turned out. I applied Dimensional Glue to some parts of the tassel and sprinkled Waterfall Glitter on top to add sparkle.

Here is one photo that shows all the lovely sparkle. Tassel string will go around the brad to keep the card closed. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Satin Velvet EP. I love how it shimmer.

You can find full directions of how I made this card from SNS Gallery here. If you just need a template you can get it from here. On the template are exact measurements of my project. Then you make your own pocket card, just measure your chocolate and make your project according to them.

A Friend

Hello my friends! Today I'd like to show you a card I made in the beginning of February. That time I was waiting our first flowers to bloom - Snowdrops and Snowflakes. They are very pretty and give hope that soon other colorful flowers will start to show their beauty. Our white flowers are blooming for few weeks now, but for Today they are all frozen - winter came back.

A day before I made this card a package arrived and it has a lovely flower dies (Blooms Four) from Spellbinder. I just had to try them out. I love these flower you can make with them. For my card I made three flowers. They all are a bit different from each other. Center of each die-cut is inked with Memento Dandelion ink. After assembling the flowers I added a pearl to the middle.

Leaves are also cut with new die - Sprigs by Spellbinder. I placed a 2 1/2" Tearif-ific tape to a strip of white cardstock and die cut two branches with leaves and one swirly sprig. After removing the protective sheet I covered sticky tape with Luau Green Microfine Glitter and burnished it in.
Tiny flower are made with Martha Stewart Flower box around the page punch. They are actually leftovers but I used them instead the border which for the punch is made for. Flowers are toned with Dandelion ink and I put small drops of Viva Pearl Pen in center of the.

Most awesome part about this card is the background. Sticker Paper was covered with Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft. It feels so soft and nice. Then I placed it between the embossing folder and run it through the die-cutting machine.

Sentiment is from Shabby Chic Birdhouse Stamp Set #481. It's stamped with Tuxedo Black ink. Banner is hand cut and inked with Pear Tart Ink.
You can see full directions how this card is made in here.
