Hanging picture frames

It's hard to believe that November is almost ending. Today I want to share a simple project I made from empty cereal box. Its cardboard is fantastic for die cutting simple shapes. It was made in early Autumn but if you use red and green and some Poinsettias, it would be lovely Christmas gift.

All frames are cut with largest and 3rd largest dies from Label Two set. I covered frames with VersaMark ink and some embossing powders. I used Hit the Beach, Green Apple and Magic Speckle EPs.
On the photo in first frame is my cat soon after hi came to our home. He looks very proud while sitting on top of the aquarium.

It would have been wierd to show empty frames so I something to each frame. On secon frame is a digital version of Sunflower stamp set. Image is colored with markers. I like this sentiment and the sunflower image inspired me to decorate the frames with same flowers.

Sunnflowers are made with dies from Blooms Four set. They are cut from white cardstock and inked with Scattered Straw and Dandelion inks. I shaped them with stylus and adhered together. For flower centers I cut small circles out of brown cardstock and adhered hem to flowers. They are covered with  Dimensional Glue and Bronze Splendor glitter.
Leaves are cut out from Sticker Paper with Sprigs die. I covered them with  Lator Gator and Luau Green glitters.

To attach all three frames together I used approx. 80 cm long white twine. I colored half of it with light green marker and made a twisted cord. You can see the cord slightly better on previous photos.

Each frame is made from following layers (starting from bottom):  Cardboard label (third image on the template), twisted cord, brown cardstock label (3rd image), Cardboard picture nest (2nd image), Acetate label and frame (1st image)

Full instructions of how this project was made is in the SNS Gallery here.

Holiday Greetings

I have a big news to share. This also explains why I have been very quiet for several months. I bought a house. It took entire summer and few extra months to fix the place up. All the remodeling is still not done but last weekend I moved in. My room is filled with unopened boxes and I'm not very sure where my card making supplies are. It takes some more time until I can get crafty again.
Here is a last card I made in my previous home. Some of my stuff was already packed so this card is very simple.

As always on first Sunday of the month it's time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. This time we want to see a Christmas Project with stamping.
Our sponsor is fabulous Little Claire. They offer £35 store voucher. You should definitely go and check their website. It's so inspiring.

http://www.littleclaire.co.uk/

I got an idea to make this card from Paula. Her card is so pretty.
I started with stamping the tree from Katzelkraft Arbres hiver set with StazOn ink to the right side, made a snow hill mask and stamped two more trees to the left. I covered trees with masking fluid and let it dry. Moon mask was die cut with circle die, I also saved the negative part of the cut. After all the masks was placed and dry, I started to ink the sky. I used Memento Summer Sky and Tuxedo Black, and Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress inks.

To color the moon I placed the negative mask slightly off-set and inked it with Tuxedo Black ink. I also put some water drops on top to add the texture.
Sentiment is from Holiday Foliage stamp set.
Most time consuming about this card was to wait until liquid mask was dry and to rub it off later. I also added some Sparkling Snow glitter to the trees with Sakura Glue Pen and to the snow hill with SNS Brushable Glue.

I know you can do better and make your project look more Christmas then just winter. Go visit also my talented teamies to get inspired.

I don't know where my notepad with supply list is, so I try to remember what I used on this card:
Stamps: Katzelkraft - Arbres hiver;  Sparkle N Sprinkle - Holiday Foliage
Inks: StazOn - Jet Black; Memento - Summer Sky, Tuxedo Black; Distress Inks - Broken China, Faded Jeans
Dies: Spellbinders - Standard Circles Large
Cardstock: White, Grey
Embellishments: Sparkling Snow glitter, Silver twine
Other: Artcoe masking fluid; Sakura Glue Pen; SNS Brushable Glue; Foam tape

Thank you for the visit!

Beautiful Friendship

One of my latest favorite card fold is Double Zig Zag. They are fabulous with three panels but this time I only made two panels to fold.

I used two coordinating pattern papers to decorate the card base. Edges of the green paper are inked with Peeled Paint and yellow paper is inked with Scattered Straw Distress inks.

I love new Beautiful Friendship stamp set. These flowers are gorgeous and sentiments are so lovely. All the stamping is done with Tuxedo Black ink and all images are colored with Pro- and FlexMarkers. Flower cluster is stamped two times. On first I colored the leaves and on second I colored the flowers. Flowers are fussy cut and popped up with foam tape.

Instead of using third pattern paper to decorate the card base, I made my own glitter paper by using
Glittered Lacy Backgrounds technique. Daisy and Luau Green glitters are fantastic together.

I used strips of Mon Ami Gabby Diamond Mesh to embellish my card. Gold Diamond mesh is used in front and Green inside of the card. In two first panels I covered revealed tape with Luau Green glitter.

Butterflies are cut with dies from Cheery Lynn Design Mini Dimensional Butterflies set. Solid butterflies are cut out of white CS and colored with marker. Top parts of the butterflies are cut from Sticker Paper. I colored back side with light blue marker. The color goes through the paper and adds some tone. Sticky side is covered with Waterfall glitter.

Punched border inside and Floral Ovals are cut out of Sticker Paper. They are covered with Goldenrod glitter. I also used leftover strip of the Glittered Lacy Background to add more sparkle to the inside of the card.

I added a tiny frame around the oval layers with Sakura Glue Pen and Luau Green glitter. You can never have too much sparkle.

Glittered punched border strip didn't show up from pattern paper very well. So I inked pattern paper with Scattered Straw ink, now you can see it much better.

You can see full instructions of my card in SNS Gallery here. Template is under next photo.

The measurements on the template will work if you use Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch. You may need to re-calculate if you use different punch. Easiest way is to cut your cardstock longer in height, you can trim it shorter later.

Stamp Credits: Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set #665
Glitters: Daisy (GM2019), Luau Green (GM2004), Goldenrod (GM2006), Waterfall (G1071);
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black, Summer Sky), Distress Inks (Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw);
Adhesives: Super Adhesive Sheets (SAS02), Sticker Paper (99558), Sakura Glue Pen, Mon Ami Gabby Bling Tape, Foam Tape;
Dies: Spellbinders (Floral Ovals, Classic Ovals (optional)); Cheery Lynn Design (Mini Dimensional Butterflies);
Coloring Medium:  Promarkers, Flexmarkers;
Embellishments: Mon Ami Gabby Diamond Mesh (Gold, Green)
Cardstock: White; 2 different Pattern Papers (DoveCraft – Garden Party);
Other: Lace fabric; Martha Stewart Border Punch (Doily Lace)

Ellie's Dance Lesson

Today I have quite simple card to share with you. Lovely image, pattern papers and some bling will do all the work for you :)

I used Digi version of Ellie's Dance Lesson stamp set. Image is colored with markers. Ups, looks like I have forgotten to color her eyes... Hmm... It's too late now. This card is already sent away. Now then I see it, Ellie looks a bit strange with white eye balls, but I have to forget it and move on...

I used digital pattern papers because I didn't want the sentiment to be on a separate layer. So I 'pasted' the sentiment directly to pattern paper and printed out together.

Silver Diamond Mesh Flower is colored with marker to add a pink tone to it. To the center of the flower I added SNS Dimensional Glue and Orchid Rose glitter.

I added pieces of Pink DiamondMesh, to embellish my card. Even though the strip of Diamond Mesh looks like it comes all the way from top to bottom I just used six diamonds in total and two single diamonds in corners of pattern paper.
I used Distressed Embossing Powder Technique to distress pattern papers and image with Tea Dye ink and Sparkle EP.

For matting layers I used White cardstock with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape around the edges (Super Adhesive Sheet is used on the oval). Tape is covered with Orchid Rose glitter.

You still have time to participate in SNS Creative Challenges. All you have to do is use a loose glitter, embossing powder or flocking on your project.

Materials Used:
Stamp Credits: Ellie's Dance Lesson #667 Digi version
Embossing Powders: Sparkle (EP107)
Glitters: Orchid Rose (GM2016)
Inks: Distress Ink - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye
Adhesives:1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape (SAT01), Dimensional Glue (539), Super Adhesive Sheets (SAS02), Foam Tape;
Dies: Spellbinders (Classic Ovals Large);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers, Flexmarkers;
Embellishments:  Mon Ami Gabby - Pink DiamondMesh, Diamond Mesh Silver Flower; Crocheted Lace Ribbon  - White
Cardstock: White; Studio12 Picknix (All Sewn UP)

Beautiful Friendship Purse

I like to make dimensional paper projects. Here is a purse shape gift box. It is very easy to make and addictive. I have made six purse already.

I liked Wonky Line Background stamp before I discovered how easy it is to spice up the plain cardstock with it. Now I love this stamp. It is perfect for paper purse :)
Pattern is stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Copper Kettle EP. It looks really pretty on top of the Burgundy CS.

I stamped small flower from Beautiful Friendship stamp set two times with Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with markers and fussy cut. One flower is popped up on top of another with foam tape.

To hide the magnet which keeps the purse closed I adhered a Silver Diamond Mesh Flower on top of it. I colored it with orange marker. To the center of the flower I added SNS Dimensional Glue and Sunset glitter.

The decorative strip in front flap and handle of the purse are decorated in the same way: I adhered 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape  to the white CS, covered tape with the Cloud Nine glitter and trimmed it to the correct size. Orange Diamond Mesh is attached with Bling Tape. I covered rest of the sticky parts with Sunset glitter.

The purse is kept closed with two magnets. On following photo you can see how the purse will open up.

Full directions of how this purse was made are in the SNS gallery.

You don't need any measurements to make this purse. I have them on the template but you can just print the template, cut it out and trace it to the cardstock you want to use. I cut little notches to mark the places where the score lines will go.

Candle box

It is time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. The theme is Warm Autumn Colors with stamping.
What could be more nicer then to look warm candle light in those dark autumn evenings. So I thought to make a candle box. I found fantastic tutorial from Randi's Lille Blogg. I changed the measurements and the way my box will close. Instead of the ribbon I used magnets.

Our sponsor is fabulous Imagination Crafts. They offer £35 store voucher for our winner. Take a look to their online store. There are so many fantastic things. I want them all.

http://www.imaginationcrafts.co.uk/

I used beautiful Wisps of Autumn stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Image is stamped two times, colored with markers, cut in pieces and layered with foam tape. I used Sakura Glue Pen and golden glitter to add some sparkle. Sentiment is made in computer.

"Even though I haven't had a chance to thank you before, I have done it thousands time in my heart"
I used two pattern papers to decorate the box. Because I used lots of glitter I didn't want to add any more embellishments. Instead I stamp and fussy cut some leaves and acorns.

The box inside holds four tealight candles. I used golden brad as a  knob. The shelve opens only to the inside. The panel infront of the shelve is slightly larger then the box.

The shelve opens only to the inside. The panel infront of the shelve is slightly larger then the box.
