Kitty Celebrates

Hi! Are you ready for my next card? It is a fun one, made with Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set named Kitty Celebrates #926. The cat adheres to the card with Mini Action Wobble 3/4"

I used Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolor Brush Pens to color the cat and I added Dimensional Glue to his nose and the mouse. The glue dries clear and keeps its dimension.
The scene behind him is made out of 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and some glitters: Waterfall Glitter for the sky, Irish Isle Glitter for the trees and Black Diamond Microfine Glitter for the road. The trick is to mask off those parts which you don't want to color at first. My masks are die cutted out of the protective layer of Tear-ific Tape. First I covered the road and the trees and colored the sky with glitter. Then I removed masks from the trees and colored them. The road was the last.

The sentiment is stamped with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and I used Black Detail Embossing Powder to heat emboss it.
I inked part of the other image stamp from the set with Nuvo Metro Grey Hybrid Ink and stamped punch of balloons all over the watercolor cardstock. Background is colored with Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolor Brush Pens

Tonic Scarlet Organza Satin Effect Mirror Card was used for the matting layers. The glittered scene and its matting layer are both die cutted with the largest die from the Tonic Eastern Oyster Layering Die Set. The glittered image is trimmed smaller with scissors from all around.

Butterfly Birthday Wishes

Hi! Here is one fun and simple looking card I made using Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set named A Big Birthday Wishes Stamp Set #931. It has very cool and bold words in it to make fantastic B-day cards.

Supply list from Sparkle N Sprinkle:
Sticker Paper [99558];
Nuvo Shimmer Powder - Solar Flare [1210N]

The word 'Birthday' from A Big Birthday Wishes Stamp Set #931 is stamped with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink on top of the Vellum. I heat embossed it with Coffee Embossing Powder. I used scissors to fussy cut the word. 'Wishes' is also from the same stamp set. It is also stamped with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink but I used Gold Detail Embossing Powder to heat emboss it.

I colored piece of watercolor cardstock with Solar Flare Nuvo Shimmer Powder. After it was fully dry, I stamped Music Background Stamp Set #427 on top of it with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink. I didn't aim for perfect impression, on the contrary, I wanted the stamping to be uneven. I covered part of the stamping with Gold Detail Embossing Powder and rest of it with White Detail Embossing Powder. After heat embossing it with the heat tool, I sprinkled some Copper Flame Embossing Powder here and there and heat embossed it too. Then I used the Glueless Glittering technique (watch tutorial here) to add a sparkle. I dumped some glitter on top of the heat embossing and heated it from underneath the paper. Glitter melted to the embossed pattern and I brushed off excess glitter.

I used Tonic Monarch & Princess Wings Die Set to die cut 5 butterflies out of white cardstock. I adhered one of them to the Sticker Paper. Excess Sticker Paper was cut off and holes inside of the butterfly wings were covered with Tranquility Microfine Glitter. Then I adhered three more die cut butterflies on top of the first one and filled the holes with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. After it was dry, I adhered remaining butterfly on top.

And as usually, edges of the matting layer was covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Hickory Microfine Glitter

Thank you for the visit!

Koi Pond Friends

Warning! Embossing Powder overload!!! Actually, I only used three different embossing powders but almost everything is covered with them :) I had so much fun to play with Koi Pond Friends Digi919 Digital Stamp Set.

SNS supplies
Tonic
Others
(Broken China Distress Ink)

This pretty fish is one of the pre-colored images from the Koi Pond Friends Digital set (it will come as an outline image as well so you can color it yourself too). I printed and fussy cut it out, inked it with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and heat embossed the body and fins with Sparkle Embossing Powder. Then I added the same ink to the entire image and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. To add dimension, I covered its body with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops and let it dry.

The sentiment is from the same digital stamp set. It's printed out and cut to the size to fit my card. I inked entire sentiment strip with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. To get a nice thick and smooth surface, I added three layers of embossing powder. It is important to heat set them each layer at a time. A final layer, I inked it again with Clear Mark ink and sprinkled Robin's Egg Embossing Powder to its corners. I melted the powder with the heat tool from underneath, otherwise, the white speckles will fly off. Some white got on top of the words. To fix it, I took a black permanent marker and colored them on top of the letters.

Digital stamp sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle will come various colored images. I love to make pattern papers with them. I placed several fishes next to each other to light blue background by rotating them. After printing it out, I trimmed the paper in suitable size and inked the edges with Broken China Distress Ink. Then I pressed the Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink all over to my pattern paper and heat embossed it with Sparkle Embossing Powder. I did it twice to get nice coverage. I sprinkled Robin's Egg Embossing Powder here and there and heat embossed from underneath. It melted into the Sparkle Embossing Powder layer and gave an awesome effect. I wish you could see the background in person.

The bubbles are also pre-colored images from the Koi Pond Friends Digital set. I printed them a punch in various sizes. After fussy cutting, I covered them with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
Edges of the matting layers are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Blue Haze Microfine Glitter.

Thank you for the visit!

It's A Beautiful Day

Beverly Cole drew exclusively for Sparkle N Sprinkle some amazing artwork which ended up as a stamp sets. On my Today's card, I used Koi Pond Super Bundle Digital Stamp Set Digi918-929BC. This bundle includes the Koi Pond Beauty Digital Stamp Set Digi918BC and Koi Pond Friends Digital Stamp Set Digi919BC. Those stamps are also available as rubber stamps.

SNS Supply list
Koi Pond Super Bundle Digital Stamp Set Digi918-929BC;
Sticker Paper [99558];
Tonic
Others
Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky];
(Spellbinders - Labels Twenty-One, Labels Eighteen, Floral Ovals; Vellum; Lace for masking)

I used pre-colored flowers from the Koi Pond Super Bundle Digital Stamp Set. They are fussy cut with scissors and I added some sparkle with Sakura Glue Pen and Sunny Daze Glitter.

The sentiment is included in the bundle, but if you fancy only the sentiment and not every Waterlillies used on the card, you'll want to get your hands on the Koi Pond Beauty Digital Stamp Set. The sentiment is printed out and I used Spellbinders die (Labels Twenty-Two) to cut it out. I drew a frame around it with Sakura Glue Pen and adhered Denim Microfine Glitter.
Pink layer underneath the sentiment is cut with scissors out of Sticker Paper. I covered it with Ballerina Microfine Glitter and added some Ocean Breeze Microfine Glitter with Sakura Glue Pen to the edges. Vellum layer is die-cut with Spellbinders die (Lacy Ovals).

On the following photo, you can see the process of making the background.
1. I started with die-cutting punch of tiny circles out of the protective sheet from Tear-ific Tape. I placed them to the label which was cut out of Sticker Paper.
2. I added lace on top and rubbed Denim Microfine Glitter all over it.
3. Then I brushed off all the loose glitter and removed the lace.
4. Rest of the revealed tape was covered with Dogwood Rose Microfine Glitter
5. All that was left to do was to remove tiny circle masks and cover last bits of revealed tape with Ocean Breeze Microfine Glitter.

Now, if you look closely, you can see some purple circles too. I accidentally peeled the circle masks off with the lace. Instead of placing them back, I added smaller circles on top.

The card base is made with largest die from Spellbinders Labels Twenty-One set. Label underneath the Vellum layer is cut out of Sticker Paper which was covered with Ocean Breeze Microfine Glitter. As final embellishments, I added HAI Supply Mixed Clear Drops around the card.

Sending Thanks Candy Box

Here is something sweet for the Thanksgiving. I used A Big Thanks Digi928 digital stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. This set is also available as rubber stamps A Big Thanks #928.

SNS Supply list:
A Big Thanks Digi928;
Sticker Paper [99558];
Tonic
Nuvo Shimmer Powder - Solar Flare [1210N], Green Parade [1214N];
Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolor Brush Pens - Summer Holiday [892N], Autumn Woodland [890N], Festive Season [895N];
Others
Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky];
HAI Rose Gold Washi Tape [WT-FOL-015];
(Pattern Paper; Creative Expressions - Autumn Leaf Trio; Spellbinders - Radiant Rectangles; Tattered Rose Distress Ink; Lace; Cheesecloth)

For the sentiment, I used two words from A Big Thanks digital stamp set. After arranging them as needed, I printed them out and used one of the dies from Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles set to cut it out. I inked the paper with Tattered Rose Distress ink while it was still inside of the die. Then I 'colored' the word "thanks" with Sakura Glue Pen and covered it with Copper Jewel Glitter. You can't see it on the picture, but this glitter has really pretty pink speckles in it.

I grunged up the background layer. I started with old pattern paper and stamped it with Crackle Background which was inked with Acorn Brown Nuvo Hybrid Ink. Then I inked one of the stamps from Flourishes #2 set with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and stamped it to the pattern paper three times. Next, I sprinkled some Blackened Bronze Embossing Powder all over the paper and heat embossed it from underneath. I distressed the edges of the pattern paper with scissors and inked them with Tattered Rose Distress Ink. Two pieces of lace were added underneath the paper and cheesecloth on the middle.

I loved making those colorful leaves. A watercolor paper was colored with Solar Flare and Green Parade Nuvo Shimmer Powders and some Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolor Brush Pens from Summer Holiday, Autumn Woodland and Festive Season sets. After it was dry, I used dies from Creative Expressions Autumn Leaf Trio set to cut some leaves. Same dies were used to cut more leaves out of Sticker Paper which was previously covered with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. I adhered outline die cuts on top of the silhouette leaves and sprinkled Super Thick Clear Embossing Powder. Embossing Powder was melted with the heat tool from underneath.

Layer underneath the sentiment is cut with a die from Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles set. I inked it with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Glitzy Gold Embossing Powder. I added three layers of embossing powder to get a super smooth result.

You probably haven't understood that I decorated the Toffifee box. I was too lazy to make an extra cover, so I covered the edges of the box with HAI Rose Gold Washi Tape. It was super easy to do and it looks awesome. I used self-made glitter dots as final embellishments. To make them, I squeezed dots of Dimensional Glue to the plastic sheet and covered them with Copper Jewel Glitter. After they were fully dry, I peeled them off from plastic and glued them to the box.

I hope you got inspired and will make a few of your own. And don't forget to share your project with us at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenges.

A Rose For You

I like cards with lots of embellishments and texture. But you don't need much if you have stunning glitters and beautiful stamps. On this card, I used Sparkle N Sprinkle A Rose For You Stamp Set #915.

Materials used:
Rosy Red Glitter [G1036];
Sticker Paper [99558];
Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolor Brush Pens - Arabian Night [894N], Festive Season [895N];
(Spellbinders - Radiant Rectangles; White Gel Pen)

I love to play with Nuvo Aqua Flow Watercolor Brush Pens. I used pens from Arabian Night and Festive Season sets to make the background for the stamped image. I brushed water to the watercolor cardstock and then colored the sheet with three different Aqua Flow Pens. While everything was still wet, I sprinkled Cherry Bomb Nuvo Shimmer Powder to few places. I love how the colors melted into each other and the shimmer left from the powder.
After the background was dry, I stamped the image and the sentiment from A Rose For You Stamp Set with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink. It was heat embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I drew the 'shadows' with White Gel Pen to help the image pop out a bit better.

I stamped the image with Nuvo Black Shadow Hybrid ink two more times to the smooth cardstock and colored them with Nuvo Marker Pens. I used scissors to fussy cut one image entirely. From another image, I needed only the vase. Flower Stem has adhered directly to the background. Rest of the pieces has adhered with the foam tape. The vase was covered with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I used a die from Spellbinders Radiant Rectangle set to die cut the colored background. Sides of the die cut was inked with Versamarker Pen and I heat embossed it with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I didn't have a die to cut the matting layer for it, so I adhered the colored piece to the Sticker Paper and fussy cut it slightly bigger by following the top layer. Sticker Paper was covered with Gold Dust Glitter.

Because this card needed more sparkle, I covered edges of the cardstock panel with 3/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Rosy Red Glitter. Then I dumped some Gold Detail Embossing Powder to the coffee filter and drag the edges of the glitter panel through the embossing powder. It stuck enough to heat emboss the powder from the back side of the panel (it flew off if I tried to heat it above).
I adhered some HAI Supply Mixed Clear Drops to my card as a subtle embellishment.

Thank you for the visit!

Memory in Our Heart

Do you want it or not, Autumn is here. I made an autumn inspired sympathy card with Sparkle N Sprinkle Memory in Our Heart Stamp Set #917 and Fall Cotton Wreath Digital Stamp Set Digi3150.

Materials used:
Memory in Our Heart Stamp Set #917;
Fall Cotton Wreath Digital Stamp Set Digi3150;
HAI Rose Gold Washi Tape [WT-FOL-015];
Sakura Glue Pen [QUICKY];
(Crafters Companions dies - Winter Time; Butterfly punch; Corner Rounder; Pattern Paper)

Sentiment from Memory in Our Heart Stamp Set is stamped with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink to the white cardstock. I covered it with Glitzy Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed. I tripped the cardstock to suitable size and rounded the corners with the corner punch. Edge of the layer was covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Irish Isle Glitter.
I covered a thin cardstock with HAI Rose Gold Washi Tape and punched out three butterflies. Then I punched three more butterflies out of light blue paper. I adhered gold butterflies on top of blue butterflies and added a drop of Dimensional Glue to their bodies. Glue was covered with Irish Isle Glitter.

I printed two pre-colored wreath images from Fall Cotton Wreath Digital Stamp Set and fussy cut them out. I adhered some Irish Isle Glitter to the leaves with Sakura Glue Pen. Both images were layered underneath the sentiment panel.

I used Crafters Companions die (Winter Time) to die cut a frame out of cardstock. I inked it with Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Ink and covered it with Bullfrog Embossing Powder. I added three coats of ink and embossing powder to get nice smooth and raised surface. The frame has adhered to ordinary wooden pattern paper.

I fussy cut some blue flowers out of pattern paper and adhered them underneath the sentiment panel. I made embellishments out of HAI Rose Gold Washi Tape. I stuck the tape to itself (back sides together) and cut one end to narrow strips. Two of those was also tucked underneath the sentiment panel.

Instead of my usual glitter matting layers, I covered the edges with HAI Rose Gold Washi Tape. It's a quick and easy way to achieve a foiled look.

Thank you for the visit!
