Call me witch

Today I want to share a card I made with a Sparkle N Sprinkle new Stella - Call Me Witch Digital Set.

Image was printed out and colored with Promarkers. I cut the image with scissors and left a narrow white border all around. This helps her to stand out from the background and makes the cutting a lot easier. To sparkle up her outfit I used Sakura Glue Pen with Aztec Gold and Hyacinth glitters.

Stella's hair are 're-colored' with Sakura Glue Pen and Elephant Gray flocking. Her glasses are covered with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Sentiment is also from the same digital stamp set. I covered the word 'witch' with Sakura Glue Pen and added Hyacinth glitter on top. Edges of the sentiment layer is made the same way. The extra star is cut out and covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Aztec Gold glitter.

Because my card was very sparkly I didn't want to add many embellishments. I just added White Nuvo Crystal Drops to the card base.  Some of them was covered with Aztec Gold glitter while they were still wet.

Background was fun to make. I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the thick cardstock and used Spellbinders Contemporary Diamonds die to cut a shape through the protective sheet of the tape. I removed almost every piece of the protective sheet except the shape which was die cut. I also placed some of the removed squares back to different places. Revealed tape was covered with Hanauma Bay glitter. After it was burnished in well, I removed rest of the protective sheet pieces and covered the tape with  Orange Surprise glitter. Entire layer was adhered in center of the cardstock with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape added to it's edges. Those edges was covered with Hyacinth glitter.

Puppy Girl

Today I have a simple card to share I made with new Sparkle N Sprinkle Puppy Girl Digital Stamp Set 793.

Image is colored with Promarkers. I added some sparkling polka dots with Sakura Glue Pen and Gypsy Red glitter.  I draw the line entire border of the image layer with Sakura Glue Pen and covered it with Gypsy Red glitter

Matting layer is my usual: I place 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the piece of cardstock, adhere pattern paper in center and cover rest of the tape with glitter. This time I thought that Bronze Splendor glitter would work well.

Sentiment is printed out and cut in pieces. I inked the edges of each word with Desert Sand Memento ink. Same ink was used to highlight the die cut border.

Image layer is popped up with a foam tape.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Puppy Girl Digital Stamp Set 793;
Glitters: Bronze Splendor (G1012), Gypsy Red (GM2005);

Retro Puppy Girl

It's so much fun to play with new stamps. In September Sparkle N Sprinkle revealed Puppy Girl stamp set 793. It is available as rubber and digital sets. digi version is the one I used on this card. I sized the image to fit my card, placed the sentiment next to it and printed them out. Image was colored with Promarkers.

Don't you just love this adorable little dog!? To make him even cuter, I added a fur to his body with Sakura Glue Pen and Elephant Gray Flocking. Electrified Yellow glitter was added with help of the Sakura Glue Pen to all bows. To make the dog nose shine I covered it with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

To embellish my card I added some White and Apple Green Nuvo Crystal Drops all around the card.

I have to admit something... I am not a big fan of Neon colors. For some time I was afraid to use them. Neon colors are bright, glitter is sparkling, combination of something bright and sparkly seems too much. So silly of me. These glitters are awesome! The texture of them is wonderful - so soft to touch. And they are not too glittery. It's almost like microfine version of Sparkle N Soft. I love them!
To make my card background, I adhered strips of 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the card base, leaving little caps in between. Tape was covered with Exulted Pink, Energized Orange, Exhilarated Green and Electrified Yellow glitters. They are also available as a set - Donna's Neon Glitter Set

Image layer is matted to a piece of cardstock which edges was covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Black Suede Microfine Glitter. Mostly I use white cardstock for the matting layer. I just color edges of the paper with marker to mach the glitter. This way no white is peeking from the side.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Puppy Girl Digital Stamp Set 793;
Glitters: Exulted Pink (G1132), Energized Orange (G1133), Exhilarated Green (G1134),  Electrified Yellow (G1135), Black Suede (GM2009);
Flocking: Elephant Gray (FL111);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;
Adhesives1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape (SAT04), 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape (SAT01), Sakura Glue Pen, Foam Tape;
Cardstock: White;
EmbellishmentsNuvo Crystal Drops (Morning Dew, White, Apple Green);

I used digi version DIGI795 from Crafting is Exercise 795 stamp set. I re sized it to fit my card front and printed it out. Image is colored with Promarkers. It's cut out with scissors a little slanted and I also left a narrow white border around the image contours.

I went a bit messy with the background. Until the very end I was sure I'll throw this piece away. I didn't like it at all.
I took a piece a watercolor cardstock and dry embossed it with the embossing folder. I planned to tap all the raised parts with Versamark ink so only the raised parts will get inked. I covered everything with Wisteria Embossing Powder, tap off the excess and ... I saw that my plan failed. The parts I wanted to be covered wasn't covered well and some powder was in place I didn't want it. I still kept going and heated the powder with an heat tool.  Then I sprinkled Ultramarine Blue Color Burst all over and colored the background with water brush. I didn't like the outcome. But after I placed all other pieced on top of it I started to like what I saw. Wohoo!

For corner embellishments I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to cardstock and die cutted the shape with Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish Two die. Then protective sheet of the tape was removed I covered sticky side with Hyacinth Velvet Glitter.

Sentiment is also from the same stamp set as the image. It is die cutted with a die from Spellbinders Labels Twenty-One set. I draw a frame with Sakura Glue Pen and covered it with Rose Gold Velvet Glitter.
Matting layers are made as I usually make the: Edges are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape, top layer is adhered to the center and rest of the tape is covered with glitter - Rose Gold Velvet Glitter is used on this card.
To add something more I used White and Wisteria Purple Nuvo Crystal Drops to make little pearls all over the card. The heart on sentiment panel is also made with the same thing.

The next stop on our blog hop is Anne. She is going to amaze you. Let's the hop begin!

Get Your Craft On

How are you everyone? Today I want to share another card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle. This time it is with a Get Your Craft On stamp #794.

Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored it with Promarkers. I added Sakura Glue Pen to both ends of the fabric? roll she's holding and covered the glue with Merlot microfine glitter. Buttons are covered with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to add some shine to them.  I cut out the image and left a narrow white border all round. It's adhered to the card with Clear Foam Roll.

Background was very fun to make. First I cut a pattern paper in little squares, inked their edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink, pierced the holes and draw a faux stitching lines with white gel pen. Then I covered piece of cardstock (slightly smaller then a card base) with a 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. I adhered all the pattern paper squares to the tape and covered rest of the tape with Merlot microfine glitter.

For embellishments I used a bit of white lace and strip of Mon Ami Gabby Pearl Mesh. I also die cutted few buttons with Nellie Snellen Round Lily die out of white cardstock. I colored them with yellow marker and added a coat of Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. After it was dry I tied a piece of white thread through the holes.

Background layer was adhered to the card base with thin foam tape.

Winter Friends

Hi! Here is one sparkled up Christmas card I made with Sparkle N Sprinkle new Stamps set Eskimo Kisses #788. This set is also available in digital form.

I stamped these two cute fellows with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Promarkers. Then I used Spellbinders Labels One die as a template and traced the shape with pencil around the image. This was cut with scissors. I also used a Sakura Glue Pen to draw the frame around the edges and covered it with Cloud Nine glitter. It appears light blue because the edges was inked before with Broken China Distress Ink.Layers behind it are die cut with Spellbinders dies From Decorative Labels One and Lacey Circles Large sets out of Sticker Paper. One is covered with Cobalt Glaze and other with Collegiate Garnet  glitters.

I also added some sparkle to the background paper with Sakura Glue Pen. I traced the lines of the doily on the paper and added Cloud Nine glitter on top.

To make the flower I covered piece of paper with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and die cutted out the poinsettia and holly leaves with Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia and Holly Sprays dies. Flowers are covered with Gypsy Red and leaves with Lator Gator glitters. In center of poinsettia is added a White 'pearl' with Nuvo Crystal Drops.Same thing is used to make the berries on the leaves. I just covered the 'pearl', while it was still wet, with Gypsy Red glitter.

 I love, love, love to use glittered paper as matting layer. For that I adhered a 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the cardstock and cover the tape with suitable glitter. This time I used Cobalt Glaze.

There is still time to participate in this month Sparkle N Sprinkle challenge. You can win some lovely digis of your choice.

Flower Cart

Hi! Today I want to share a simple Thank You card I made with a Sparkle N Sprinkle new Flower Cart #798 Digital Stamp Set.

I printed out the image twice and colored one of them entirely with Promarkers. On second copy I colored only umbrella. To make the matting layer I covered piece of cardstock with
2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and used largest die from Spellbinders Labels Sixty-Six to die cut it out. I adhered fuzzy cut image to the center and covered rest of the tape with Ocean glitter.

I used Sakura Glue Pen to adhere the Bubble Gum glitter to the bow and ruffles. Umbrella is popped up with pieces of Clear Foam Roll. Clear dimensional tape is perfect for small places.

Sentiment is also from the same digital set. I added some color to it with markers and cut the flag shape. I draw a lines around the edges with Sakura Glue Pen and Ocean glitter.

Background pattern paper is covered partially with
Versamark ink. I added Sparkle embossing powder on top and melted with a heat tool. Butterfly on the paper was 'colored' with Sakura Glue Pen and covered with Sunny Daze glitter.

Two little butterflies are die cut out of
Sticker Paper with Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Dimensional Butterflies set. They are covered with Sunny Daze glitter. It's a very nice semi-transparent glitter. I love to make little butterflies with it. This glitter won't be show as deep on the white paper. To make my butterflies brighter I added heavy coat of yellow color to the back of the Sticker Paper with marker. Color seeps through to front and after paper was dry I added the glitter to the sticky front.
Edges of the matting layer was covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Ocean glitter.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Flower Cart #798 Digital Stam Set;
