Butterflies and roses

It's time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. This time our theme is Anything goes with stamping.
By the end of the month Design Team will choose their favorite card and winner will recive an awesome prize - £35 store voucher fromVisible Image
Visible Image is a clear stamp designer and manufacturer based in South Wales, UK. Our stamps are hand poured and hand cut using the finest photopolymer available. Each stamp is deeply etched, 4mm thick, to ensure a crisp clear perfectly stamped image.

I made a window card with some stamped butterflies and roses. Butterflies are from an old Hero Arts and Sizzix stamps and die set named Butterflies #3. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Promarkers and die cut with matching dies from the set.

Edge of the card front is made with Spellbinders dies. I used one small butterfly as a lock to keep the card closed.

Roses are made with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies. They are colored with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks. I also stamped some music notes to the flowers petals.

Inside of the card is clean and simple.

I like how the sentiment is seen through the window and behind the foliage.

I used digi version from Secret Garden stamp set on my card. I placed the sentiment underneath the bird and printed them out. I also printed a second copy of the bird. Images are colored with Promarkers. Bird and the sentiment are die cut with Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles die. Little dash lines between the pierced holes are drawn with regular black pen. Back side of the layer is inked with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink. Second copy of the bird is popped up with foam tape.

Flower is made with Spellbinders Hydrangea die. Piece of white paper was colored with marker before die cutting little flowers. Flower centers are made with Dimensional Glue and Daisy glitter. For the leaves I used Spellbinders Sprigs die and Sticker Paper. I covered them with Luau Green glitter.

Background is made from white cardstock. I sprinkled some Ultramarine Blue Color Burst to the paper and spritzed it with water. I love this color. To make it little more shimmering I also spritzed it with Perfect Pearls Mist. After everything was dry I dry embossed it, right side down, with an old Cuttlebug embossing folder. I scribbled debossed flowers with black pen.

Edges of the black matting layer was covered with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Black Suede glitter. It's adhered to the card base with foam tape.

The next stop on our blog hop is very talented Diane. Enjoy!

Best Wishes

Lately I have playing a lot with digital stamps. They are fantastic. Here is a card I made with digi version DIGI771 from Poppies  #771 stamp set.

I draw a circle in Photoshop and placed the poppies image in front of it. Image was resized to be slightly larger then the circle. I made another copy of the same stamp and printed them out. I used Promarkers for coloring and cut the circle and part of the flowers out with scissors. It's like out of the box die cutting but much easier :) Two of the flowers was fuzzy cut from the second copy I printed. They are popped up with Foam Tape. I added some Sakura Glue Pen to the flower petal and covered the glue with Fire Engine Red Glitter.

Sentiment is also a digi from the same set. It is die cut with Oval die. I traced along the edge with Sakura Glue Pen and covered the glue with Fire Engine Red Glitter again. Oval is placed on top of the red label shape which was die ct with Spellbinders Label Eighteen die.

It has been long time since I decorated the inside of the card. I used to love to do it with all my cards. Because this card was so simple I had an extra time to do it. I just printed a single flower from the same stamp set and die cut it with the Circle die. Edge of the circle is inked with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.

Card base is die cut out of red cardstock with Scalloped Circles die. I added some pearls to decorate the card.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits Poppies 771 (digi version DIGI771);
Glitters: Fire Engine Red (G1007);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;
Inks: Distress Ink (Salty Ocean);
Adhesives: Sakura Glue Pen, Foam Tape;
Dies: Spellbinders (Classic Scalloped Circles Large, Standard Circles Large, Classic Ovald Large, Labels Eighteen);
Cardstock: White, Red;
All others: Pearls;

Orange card

It's my turn for the mid month post at the Stamping Sensation where all the DT have to make something in a colour that they don't like. I can't say that orange is my least favourite colour but somehow, it's difficult to make an orange card. It is actually a very pretty colour, but on my cards, it doesn't feel right. On this particular card, I love the orange flowers but I would change the background paper to something else. It has too much orange on it. I just have to keep trying until I feel comfortable with this colour

On my card I used stamp named Friendship Flowers from Sparkle N Sprinkle. It's stamped it two times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Promarkers. I fuzzy cut entire image and on second copy I just cut the flowers. Flowers are popped up with foam tape. I added some sparkle to them with Diamond Stickles. On little butterflies I added Cotton Candy Stickles to the edges of the wings.

Flowers are die cut with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies. I used Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber Distress inks to color all flower layers, then shaped them and assembled to form a rose. Leaves are die cut from leftover paper which was colored with Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress inks and misted with Perfect Pearls Mist.

For the background I used my only orange pattern paper. It has been waiting in my stash for years. I pierced all pattern paper panels and draw stitching lines in between each holes with White Gel Pen.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Sparkle N Sprinkle (Friendship Flowers);
Coloring MediumPromarkers, White Gel Pen;
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Distress Ink (Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles);
Dies: Spellbinders (Decorative Labels One, Rose Creations), MemoryBox (Elegant Scrollwork, Delicate Vine);
Punches: Martha Stewart (3 in 1 Butterflies);
Cardstock: White, Pattern Paper;
All others: Perfect Pearls Mists (Perfect Pearl), Stickles (Cotton Candy, Diamond), Pearls;

In my Thoughts

On my Today's card I used digi version from new Sparkle N Sprinkle stamps set #771 named Poppies (digi version DIGI771).

Image and the sentiment are printed to the white cardstock. I colored flowers with Promarkers.

I used a die from MemoryBox Pastry Labels set to die cut the sentiment. Edges of the label are covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Black Suede glitter. MonAmi Gabby Red Diamond Mesh was cut in pieces and added to the both sides of the sentiment.

For the matting layer I used black cardstock and adhered 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape to the edges. Tape as covered with Black Suede microfine glitter.

Card base is stamped with Wonky Lines Background #659 and Versamark ink. I covered stamping with
Red Apple Embossing Powder and heat embossed it.

Thinking of you

Hey!  It took lots of time but winter is finally here. If it is in your part of the world as freezing as it is in Estonia (even my Chow Chow don't want to be outside) I hope this sunny card will worm you up a bit.

I used digi version from the new Thinking of You stamp set. It is printed to a watercolor cardstock and it's colored with Distress Inks (Salty Oceans, Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Vintage Photo, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles).

I covered center of the flowers with Sakura Glue Pen and added Dark Chocolate Flocking on top. I also added some Sunny Daze glitter to the petals with help of the Sakura Glue Pen.

I sprinkled Magic Speckle Embossing Powder all over the watercoloured image and melted it with heat tool from underneath. I like the look of it.
I added 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape across the card and adhered strip of Green MonAmi Gabby Diamond Mesh on top of it. Rest of revealed tape was covered with Sunny Daze Glitter. I also draw two straight lines with Sakura Glue Pen and added Sunny Daze Glitter on top of them too.

For the matting layer I used yellow cardstock and added 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape to all edges. Tape was covered again with Sunny Daze Glitter. I also glued single pieces from green Diamond mesh to all corners.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Thinking of You #769 digi version DIGI769;
Glitters: Sunny Daze (G1038);
Embossing Powders: Magic Speckle (EP175);
Flocking: Dark Chocolate (FL104);
Inks: Distress Ink (Salty Oceans, Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Vintage Photo, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles);

Birthday Shaker Card

It is time for the first challenge in the 2016 at the Stamping Sensation. We start with nice and easy. The challenge theme is: Anything goes with a die (and stamping as a focal element). I made a shaker Birthday card.

We are pleased to welcome Tonic Studios back as this months sponsor and what a fabulous prize they are offering to one very lucky winner. The prize is the full range of their new colours of Nuvo Crystal drops and also pots of matching glitters.

Now, back to my card... Flowers from Sparkle N Sprinkle Beautiful Friendship stamp set are stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink and they are colored with Promarkers. I cut them out with scissors and popped two of them up with foam tape. I added some Crystal Stickles to the flower centers.

Butterflies are die cut with dies from Cheery Lynn Design Mini Dimensional Butterflies set. They are inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Firefly Embossing powder. This EP actually glows in the dark. I added tiny pearl to each butterfly.
The decorative layer behind the flowers is die cut out of white cardstock with Nellie's Multi Frames Round Lily die. I inked it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.

The word "õnne" (in English: happiness) is die cut with dies from MemoryBox Classic Upper Alphabet Set. It didn't had a letter "õ" (surprise, surprise), so I used "q" up side down. Looks a bit wonky but it works :) I glued an acetate behind the openings and made a shaker box underneath it. Background of the shaker is heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.

Background is stamped with Viva Decor Brick & Wood stamp and Versamark ink to the white cardstock. I heat embossed it with Opaline embossing powder. After that I inked the background with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Sparkle N Sprinkle (Beautiful Friendship), Viva Decor (Brick & Wood);

Embossing Powders: Sparkle N Sprinkle (Opaline, Gold, Firefly);
Coloring MediumPromarkers;
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Versamark, Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick);

Dies: Spellbinders (Pierced Rectangles), MemoryBox (Classic Upper Alphabet Set), Nellie's Multi Frames (Round Lily), Cheery Lynn Design (Mini Dimensional Butterflies);
Cardstock: White;
All others: Acetate, Foam Tape, Pearls, Suze Weinberg's Beadazzles (Jazz), Stickles (Crystal);
