Country Home Shadow Box

Do you like digital stamps? I love them! It is so fun to combine them to make awesome cards. Today I want to share a shadow box card made with four Sparkle N Sprinkle digital stamp sets and one digital paper pack.

Materials used:
StampsVintage Country Home Digi911, Fashionista Digi876, Puppy Girl Digi793, I Love Old Trucks Digi890, Digital Papers Watercolor Papers Blue Digi4002;
GlittersMeadow Spark [G1014];
Embossing PowdersClear [EP120];
Inks: Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Broken China, Tea Dye), Versamark [VM001];
AdhesivesSakura Glue Pen [Quicky];
Cardstock: White;
EmbellishmentsDark Walnut Nuvo Crystal Drops [684N];

I love that Sparkle N Sprinkle digital stamp set also includes pre-colored images. They are always so beautifully colored and saves you time. This card started from the new Vintage Country Home Digital Stamp Set. It is so beautiful image and soon as I saw it, I wanted to make a shadow box card with it. So I started to play with house image on my computer and looked for older digis to go with it. I digitally cut the tree out of the image, made several copies of it, flipped and resized some of them. those were used later on other layers. On the first layer is only the house. On the second layer is a truck from I Love Old Trucks set (I cut the tree shorter to look like a bush and adhered it to the second layer after I printed and fussy cut the images with scissors).

The third layer (the frame) is digitally designed in the computer from two Digital Papers from Watercolor Papers Blue set. I used blue for the sky and green for the grass. I placed previously 'cut' trees on top of them and also added girls from Fashionista and Puppy Girl Digital Stamp Sets. After printing the scene, I fussy cut the window to it.
I took the Sakura Glue Pen and added tiny dots of glue all over the tree leaves and covered it with Meadow Spark Glitter. (I apologize for the lack of photos, my camera died and I wasn't able to take better close-up photos with my phone).

The sentiment is also from the same Vintage Country Home Digi Set. I printed it out and cut it with scissors. I covered entire sentiment with Versamark ink and Clear Embossing Powder. After using the heat tool to melt the powder, I repeated it once more. This gave a nice shine to the label. I added a dots of Dark Walnut Nuvo Crystal Drops to each corner and let it dry a bit. Then I took the craft knife and pressed the back of the blade gently to the dots. It's hard to see on the photo but there are grooves inside of each dot, similar to nail head.

I'd love to see what you can make with digital stamps. Make a project and share it on the Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge over on Facebook. You can enter with anything that uses an SNS image, either rubber or digi. If you don't have any, you can pick up free digis over on the SNS website! The July Challenge is opened until the 25th of July to enter - winners will be announced at the beginning of August.

Thank you for the visit!

Emma's Best Birthday

Hi! This is my first card for Sparkle N Sprinkle July 2018 Reveal. I used the Emma's Best Birthday Digi902 Digital Stamp Set from this Reveal and a few older SNS rubber stamps.

Materials used:
StampsEmma's Best Birthday Digi902, Honey Bees 775, Happiness Greetings 886;
GlittersPinkerbell [G1130];
Embossing PowdersGold Detail [EP168];
InkVersamark [VM001], Versamarker PenSafari Green Nuvo Hybrid Ink [215N],  Distress Ink (Broken China, Worn Lipstick);
Dies: Marianne Design, Spellbinders (Sprigs);
Coloring MediumSpring Meadow [893N] and Autumn Woodland [890N] Nuvo AquaFlow Pens, Northern Lights Nuvo Glitter Markers [171N];
AdhesivesSakura Glue Pen [Quicky];
Cardstock: Kraft, Pattern Paper, White;
Embellishments: White Paper Rose (colored with Spiced Ginger AquaFlow Pen), Yellow Bird Nuvo Glitter Drops [769N];

I used one of the pre-colored images from Emma's Best Birthday Digi set on the card front. I printed two copies of it and fussy cut the cake from one of them. The cake has adhered with the foam tape on top of the second image. The layer was cut to the size and one corner was rounded. I inked the edges with Distress Inks (Broken China, Worn Lipstick). Sparkle for her dress and the cake was added with Sakura Glue Pen and Pinkerbell Glitter. The candle flame was covered with Yellow Bird Nuvo Glitter Drops

I used the pattern paper for the background. To make it more interesting, I used the Versamark ink to stamp the honeycomb from Honey Bees stamp set and heat embossed it with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. Versamarker Pen was used around the edges to heat emboss them with same Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

For the flower cluster, I took a white paper rose and colored it with Spiced Ginger AquaFlow Pen from Autumn Woodland set. The leaves underneath it are from Happiness Greetings rubber stamp set. I stamped them with Safari Green Nuvo Hybrid Ink and colored them with Green Marker from Northern Lights Nuvo Glitter Markers set and Fresh Green from Spring Meadow AquaFlow Pen set. I also added the green flourish I found on my leftover basket. I believe it is cut with the die from Spellbinders Sprigs set and looks like it is colored with green marker.
I made couple golden die cut foliage for the bottom of the cluster. I glued two foliage on top of each other and then inked the top with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

The sentiments (on the card front and on the inside) and the birds are from the same Emma's Best Birthday Digi set. The layer is cut to the same size as the image layer on the card front. Once again, I used Distress Inks (Broken China, Worn Lipstick) to add some color to the edges. I adhered leftover golden foliage to the inside of the card.

Here is one more look at my card. I used kraft cardstock as a card base and matting layers.

Thank you for the visit!

Wobbly Rose

Hi! I have one summer card with a fun fold to share with you Today. It features Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set named My Wild Rose 898. I used its digital version.

StampsMy Wild Rose Digi898, Aster Garden Digi893;
GlittersButterscotch [GM2051], Ballerina [GM2024], Waterfall [G1071];
Embossing PowdersSparkle [EP107], Glitzy Gold [EP360];
InksVersamark [VM001], Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black);
Dies: Spellbinders (Labels Two);
AdhesivesDimensional Glue [539], Medium Nuvo Glue Pen [203N], 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape [SAT11];
Cardstock: White, Pattern Paper;
EmbellishmentsNuvo Glitter Drops - Dazzling Blue [759N];
Others3/4" Action Wobbler [AWS12];

As a focal image, I used the pre-colored flower from My Wild Rose Digi898 set. I printed the same flower two times. One was fussy cut with narrow white border and on the second image, I fussy cut only the blossom part of the image and I didn't leave any border. In fact, I took the Memento Dual Marker (Tuxedo Black) and run the marker on sides to hide the white paper core. The second flower has adhered to the first one with foam tape. Ofcourse, I had to add some sparkle to the flower. I drew some lines with Medium Tip Nuvo Glue Pen and covered it with Butterscotch Microfine Glitter.
The butterfly is from Aster Garden Digi893. Again, it is a pre-colored image. I made it for another card but I didn't use it. The butterfly was fussy cut, covered with Versamark ink and Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set with Heat Tool.
Blue label underneath the flower is die cut out of white cardstock which was covered with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. I removed the protective layer and covered the tape with Waterfall Glitter. Edges are covered with Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Glitzy Gold Embossing Powder which was heat embossed.

The flower has adhered to the glitter label with 3/4" Action Wobbler.

Because I didn't have to color any images, I wanted to devote more time to background papers. I squeezed two blobs of Dimensional Glue to my Tonic Glass Mat. I added Butterscotch Microfine Glitter to one blob and Ballerina Microfine Glitter to another and mixed them both until I got two colorful paste-like blobs. I spread them with the pallet knife to the yellow pattern paper. A bit of the same mixture was added with the bristle paint brush to my wooden pattern paper. The brush will give a thin layer of glitter but the pallet knife will add more texture. You can use this mixture also as a texture paste because it will keep its dimension. This glue will dry clear so you can see all the sparkle really well.

On the following picture, you can see all the nice yellow and pink glitter added to the pattern paper. After the glue was dry, I cut the panels and added Medium tip Nuvo Glue Pen to all edges. They were heat embossed with Glitzy Gold Embossing Powder.

I printed the sentiment from same My Wild Rose Digital Stamp Set and also from the same set I printed the bow. The bow is fussy cut and adhered to the sentiment label. Sparkle is added with Medium Nuvo Glue Pen and Waterfall Glitter. As a final embellishment, I added Nuvo Glitter Drops - Dazzling Blue.
To help the card stay in close, I hid two magnets between the layers.

Thank you for the visit!

Enjoy the Little Things

Hi! My today's card is showcasing a beautiful Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set named My Wild Rose 898 and fun technique to turn an old not so pretty pattern paper in to a stunner with Embossing Powder and Glitter.

Materials used:
StampsMy Wild Rose 898;
GlittersPurple Dust [G1093], Black Diamond [GM2046];
Embossing PowdersClear Detail [EP280], Morning Glory [EP390], Dalmatian [EP463];
InksBlack Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink [210N], Versamark [VM001];
Dies: Stitched Rectangle;
Coloring Medium: Nuvo AquaFlow - Autumn Woodland [890N], Spring Meadow [893N], Cerulean Blue Nuance Watercolor Powder [MNU011];
AdhesivesSakura Glue Pen [Quicky], 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape [SAT01];
Cardstock: White, Watercolor CS, Pattern Paper;
Embellishments: Nuvo Crystal Drops - Ebony Black [650N], Simply White [651N];
OthersNuvo Masking Fluid [969N], Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707E];

My card was inspired from lovely new My Wild Rose Stamp Set. I used Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp the image and the sentiment to the watercolor cardstock with Black Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink. Without removing the stamps and the cardstock, I inked the stamps with Versamark ink and stamped them again on top of previously stamped images. Then I heat embossed it with Clear Detail Embossing Powder. It wasn't necessary because Nuvo Hybrid ink is waterproof but I wanted to have a shiny look.
Then I took Nuvo Masking Fluid and covered the flower with it. After Masking Fluid was dry, I taped my panel to my Glass Mat, spritzed the Watercolor Cardstock with water and sprinkled Cerulean Blue Nuance Watercolor Powder on top. I played with water and the powder until I was happy.

After everything was dry, I rubbed off the Masking Fluid and colored the flower with Nuvo AquaFlow brush pens from Autumn Woodland and Spring Meadow sets. Some sparkle was added to it with Sakura Glue Pen and Purple Dust Glitter. I cut the panel out with Stitched Rectangle die and added few accents with Nuvo Crystal Drops - Ebony Black and Simply White.

For the background I used an old pattern paper which I didn't saw myself using as it was. So I pressed Versamark  ink pad to the edges and sprinkled on top of it Morning Glory Embossing Powder, Purple Dust Glitter and some Dalmatian Super Thick Embossing Powder. Because I used loose glitter and thick embossing powder, it was very important to melt the powder with the heat tool from underneath the paper. Glitter will 'melt' in to the Embossing Powder and won't go anywhere.
On following picture you can see how it looks before using the heat tool and after using the heat tool.

I made a black glitter matting layers to help my panels to stand out. For that I covered the edges of the matting layers with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. After adhering panels to the center of the matting layers, I covered rest of the tape with Black Diamond Microfine Glitter. This is my new favorite black glitter - it's fine and sparkly and nice rich color.
To complete my card, I added large dots of Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops to the background.

There is a Challenge running on the Facebook Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge group. If you share your project made with Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp (digi or rubber) you can win the prize. If you don't have any SNS stamps to create with, there are three free digi stamps at the Sparkle N Sprinkle web page to get you started.

Discover Beauty

Shine shine shine! Today I have a very shiny card to share with you. I used new Sparkle N Sprinkle Rubber stamp set named Colorful Cosmos Bloom 899.

 Materials used:
StampsColorful Cosmos Bloom 899;
GlittersSpirited Green [G1070];
Embossing PowdersMagic Speckle [EP175], White Detail [EP298];
InksBlack Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink [210N], Versamark [VM001], Distress Ink (Mowed Lawn);
Dies: Stitched Circle;
Coloring Medium: Nuvo Markers - Coral Reef [322N], Irish Clover [325N], Fresh Pear Nuvo Mica Mist [574N], Cerulean Blue Nuance Watercolor Powder [MNU011];
AdhesivesSakura Glue Pen [Quicky];
Cardstock: White;
Embellishments: Nuvo Glitter Drops - Yellow Bird [769N], Orange Soda [761N];

Image is stamped with Black Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink and I used Nuvo Markers - Coral Reef and Irish Clover, to color those beautiful flowers. I fussy cut the image out  leaving narrow white border all around. Center of the flowers are covered with Yellow Bird Nuvo Glitter Drops.

I made a bunch of invitations and I was left with pile of stitched circles. I don't like to throw away good die cuts, so I decided to make a card out of them. I adhered the circles with temporary adhesive to a scrap paper and spritzed them with Fresh Pear Nuvo Mica Mist. While it was still wet, I sprinkled some Cerulean Blue Nuance Watercolor Powder on top. I spritzed water and more Mica Mist to make the powder melt even more. Circles was cut out of regular cardstock, so the powder didn't move as much as if it would move on top of the watercolor cardstock. While the circles was still wet, I sprinkled Magic Speckle Embossing Powder to some of them. I used the Heat Tool to melt the Embossing Powder and dry the circles.

On following picture you can see all the nice sheen of the Nuvo Mica Mist and the texture of Magic Speckle Embossing Powder. I had black circles printed to some of the die cut pieces. I drew them over with Sakura Glue Pen and covered with Spirited Green Glitter. Then I adhered all the circles to piece of cardstock and trimmed the edges. I love how this background turned out.

When I made the background, I didn't had any plan where the circles go and how I design the card out of it. I just had fun with all those pretty shiny circles. Then I started to assemble the card, one of the circles stood out. It looked like it is perfect for the sentiment. Because I didn't had even surface for stamping, I used Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I stamped the sentiment couple of times on top of each other with Versamark ink and heat embossed the sentiment with White Detail Embossing Powder.

I scattered some dots of Nuvo Glitter Drops - Yellow Bird and Orange Soda, around the sentiment and flowers as finishing touches.

I would love to see what you do with your leftover die cut pieces. Please make a project with Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp (digi or rubber) and share it on the Facebook Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge group. If you don't have any SNS stamps to create with, there are three free digi stamps at the Sparkle N Sprinkle web page to get you started.

Thank you for the visit!

Gone Fishin

Here is a quick little post to share a card made with three Sparkle N Sprinkle Stamp Sets and two Embossing Powders and two sets of Nuvo Alcohol Markers.

Materials used:
StampsWetlands 1 #790, Wetlands 2 #791, Gone Fishin #778;
Embossing PowdersClear Detail [EP280], Christmas Green [EP149];
InksBlack Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink [210N], Versamark [VM001], Distress ink - Peacock Feathers;
Coloring Medium: Nuvo Alcohol Markers - Aquamarine [326N] and Palma Violets [328N];
OthersTim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707E]

Silhouette stamps are really cool because they don't need lots of coloring, just a little color here and there and you are done. I used Wetlands 1 and Gone Fishin stamp sets to create a scene to my card front. Tim Holtz Stamp Platform was a very good helper to get a beautiful stamped images. Water with tree line was stamped side by side two times with Black Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink. Thanks to that I got my self a scene long enough to fill the card front and little piece was left for the inside. The image was colored with Nuvo Alcohol Markers. I used all the markers from Aquamarine and Palma Violets sets.
Leaves are stamped with Versamark ink and I heat embossed them with Christmas Green Embossing Powder. I drew a frame with pencil and fussy cut the center with paper trimmer and scissors.
A fisherman was stamped with Black Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink and then I stamped it again with Versamark on top of the previous image (Stamp Platform will allow you to do it perfectly). The image was heat embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder and fussy cut it with scissors. After my scene was built, I drew a fishing line with a fine black pen.

Images on the inside of the card are from Wetlands 2 and Gone Fishin stamp sets (plus leftover piece from the front of the card made with Wetlands 1 stamp). Cattails and fishermen with the boat are stamped the same way as the fisherman in front of the card: stamped with Black Shadow Nuvo Hybrid Ink and again with Versamark on top, then heat embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder and fussy cut it with scissors. They adhere to the layer inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. This layer is the pocket to hold the gift card.
(please ignore the shadows on the photo, Peacock Feather is a good match to the Aquamarine markers. Lighting is just too off to show it. Water scene image inside of the card appears to be duller then it actually is).

This was my little card. Now it is your turn to make a project with Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp (digi or rubber) and share it on the Facebook Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge group. If you don't have any SNS stamps to create with, there are three free digi stamps at the Sparkle N Sprinkle web page to get you started.

Thank you for the visit!

Season of Gladness

Hi! I love to make cards with beautiful stamps. Sparkle N Sprinkle Happy Holidays 897 is a must have for all your Christmas cards. It comes with two beautiful sentiments and Holly Leaves (there are even more options on the Happy Holidays Digital Stamp [Digi897DE]. This time I decided to play with the Rubber Stamp.

Materials used:
Stamps: Happy Holidays 897;
Glitters: Diamond Dust [G1116];
Embossing Powders: Timber [EP469], Frosted Juniper [EP406];
InksVersamark [VM001], Nuvo Hybrid Ink Safari Green [215N];
Dies: Nellie Snellen (Photo Frames);
Coloring MediumNuvo Embellishment Mousse Indian Gold [802N];
Cardstock: White, Green;
Embellishments: Adhesive Backed Snowflakes from Frozen Glitter Set [SQAF15], Nuvo Crystal Drops Autumn Red [683N];
Tools: Tonic Mini Blender Brush Set [1558E], Anti Static Bag [99512];

I started with the sentiment layer. For that, I colored piece of white cardstock with Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishment Mousse using Mini Blender Brush by Tonic. After it was dry, I prepared the surface with Anti Static Bag, Stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Timber Embossing Powder. I adhered two die cut frames on top of each other to make it look like the sentiment is inside of the picture frame.

I wanted to keep this card simple, so I didn't add many embellishments. I took two Adhesive Backed Snowflakes from Frozen Glitter Set and covered them with Diamond Dust Glitter. Then I cut them in half and tucked them behind the sentiment layer. Holly leaves was stamped with Nuvo Hybrid Ink Safari Green to the white cardstock. Immediately after stamping, I covered the leaves with Frosted Juniper Embossing Powder and heat set with heat tool. I fussy cut them with scissors and adhered to the card. I used Autumn Red Nuvo Crystal Drops to make few berries. I squeezed the drops to Non-Stick Craft Mat and let them dry. After card was done, I simply picked them from the Craft Mat and adhered them with the glue to my card. This way I can move the Crystal Drops around until I find their place :)

Background is made out of green cardstock. I stamped the Holly leaves all around with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with Frosted Juniper Embossing Powder. Frosted Juniper has a very nice green shimmer on it if the light hits on the right angle.
I made a paint Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and a bit of water and painted the edges of the background and centers of the leaves to gold. I splattered same gold paint to all over the background as well.

This is my simple Christmas card with Vintage feel. Take a look to the SNS blog to see what other Designers has made with this stamp set.
