To the birthday...

I was afraid that I can't make a card for Beccy's Place July challenge. I'd hate to miss it because the theme is an easel card with Beccy's image. I love easels and her digis :o) Such a perfect challenge...

I used several Beccy's images: Nell on Bicycle, Pine Grove and Sunflower/Gerbera. I made a little scene with Nell and pine trees and also draw a dirt path and some bushes. I colored path digitally because I wasn't sure how to color it with markers. Nell, her bike and bushes are colored with ProMarkers and sky is made with Broken China Distress ink. I added some grass with Stabilo pens.
Sunflower and it leaves are also colored with ProMarkers. Flower has three layers, each of them is popped-up with foam tape.

The card layout is from Sweet Stop Sketches Sketch #169

Striped paper is digi from Computer Scrapbook Friday Night Cocktails 2 collection. Pearls are from Queen & Co. Easel stopper is made with Heyda border punch. Sentiments are all computer generated.

To the birthday!!!

I'd also like to participate on following challenges:
A &T Sketch Challenges - DT call
Inky Impressions Challenges - Use dies or punches
Crafts 4 Eternity - Brilliant birthday
Polka Doodle - Summer

Endless summer

Hello everybody! I'm back from my holiday. Croatia is so beautiful. I love the color of the sea in there and those huge mountains. Gorgeous!
It has so much happened in blog-land in last two weeks, it's hard to get back on the track :o)
Summer is my favorite time of the year and I don't want it will never ever end. Or maybe I wouldn't love it so much it lasts forever. Anyway, our theme for this week in Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover Challenge is:

Don't forget to use a digi stamp on your project. You can win three PMS images of your choice (five if your winning project has a PMS digi on it).

We have a new Guest Makeup Artist this week. Please visit Sammi (aka sammibug)  at to give her a warm welcome.

Here is my summer card. I used Jill Digi on my card. She is colored with ProMarkers. I was quite young then I went fishing with my brother first time. It was so much fun until fish actually took the bait. I felt so sorry of the fish and we let him go. I've never done it anymore. Although I really love to just sit by the river and look at the water and little fishes swimming by :)

Blue chevron pattern paper is also a digi. It's from Design by Dani One For The Road free mini kit. I used some colorful  buttons from my big button box and few old game buttons. I made some green dots on the largest circle with a ProMarker. Black faux stitching is made with Stabilo pen. Water and the sky is colored with Broken China Distress Ink and forest is drawn with ProMarkers. Little dragonflies are from Folia Varioustamp Summerbreeze set. They are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also used a Pergamano white gel pen on Jill's eyes, cheeks and wings.

Have a fabulous summer! See you soon ;)
I'd like to participate on following challenges:

My favorite holiday

Please, please join us in Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover Challange because we have awesome challenge theme this week. It's "Favorite Holiday"
Our Guest Makeup Artist is Wendy Keenan. Please visit her blog and leave some love to her :)

Can you guess what is my favorite holiday? If you think about Valentine's Day, you're wrong. My favorite holiday is Jaanipäev (St John's Day). This day and Christmas are most important days in Estonia.  Jaanipäev is celebrated in the night between June 23 and 24, a few days after the summer solstice, when night seems to be non-existent.
Jaanipäev celebrations are merged with the celebration of Võidupüha (Victory Day) during the War of Independence when Estonian forces defeated the German troops on 23 June 1919. After that Jaaniõhtu (St John's Eve) and the lighting of the traditional bonfires became linked with the ideals of independence and freedom.
On Jaaniõhtu, Estonians all around the country will gather with their families, or at larger events to celebrate this important day with singing and dancing.
Some of the rituals of Jaanipäev have very strong folkloric roots. The best-known Jaanik, or midsummer, ritual is the lighting of the bonfire and then jumping over it. This is seen as a way of guaranteeing prosperity and avoiding bad luck. Likewise, to not light the fire is to invite the destruction of your house by fire. The fire also frightened away mischievous spirits who avoided it at all costs, thus ensuring a good harvest. So, the bigger the fire, the further the mischievous spirits stayed away.
Midsummer's eve is important for lovers. Among Estonian fairy tales and literature there is the tale of two lovers, Koit (dawn) and Hämarik (dusk). These two lovers see each other only once a year and exchange the briefest of kisses on the shortest night of the year. Earth-bound lovers go into the forest looking for the flower of the fern which is said to bloom only on that night. Also on this night, single people can follow a detailed set of instructions involving different flowers to see whom they are going to marry.
~ Description of the holiday is from Wikipedia

On my card are Koit (dawn) - male and Hämarik (dusk) - female and their brief tender moment on the shortest night of the year :) Image is actually called A Couple of Moodies. It's not in digi section jet but hopefully soon t is :) Mean while you can buy it as rubber stamp from Paper Makeup Stamps shop :)
Background paper is my own design - in computer ofcourse :) Image, matting papers and flower are colored with ProMarkers. Ribbons are from my stash. Flower is a die-cut made with Memory Box HoneyBlossom Sprig. I added some Pergamono White gel pen on it and some atYouSpica Gold glitter marker on the pattern behind lovers.

Dream big

Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me! :o) This year I decided to make my self a big b-day gift - a trip to Croatia. It wasn't planned on that day at first but my trip was postponed and it just happened that it starts on my birthday :o) By the time this post will go up, I'm probably in Latvia. I've traveled with plain before so this time I wanted to see more of Europe. So I'll go to Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Croatia. I'm super excited :o)
I'll also schedule a post on next Monday. Hopefully Mr. Blogger won't fail me.
But now to this weeks challenge at Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover Challange is Digi Dimension

Remember, you have to use a digi stamp on your project. You can win three PMS images of your choice (five if your winning project has a PMS digi on it).

Our this weeks Guest Makeup Artist is Zenita Smith (aka ScrappinwithZ) Please visit her blog and leave some love :o)

My card is inspired by very adorable card of Katarina from  LOTV Ideas to Inspire. I love this dimensional effect. I used green, yellow and red papers and made a hole in them with Spellbinder Nestabilities - Lacy Circles. Ribbons are from my stash. Green one was white before. I colored it with ProMarker.  Butterfly is cut twice with Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly die and is also colored with ProMarkers.

Image is from Dandy Wishes set and it's colored with ProMarkers and I also added some Glossy Accent on top of the hearts. As you see, I couldn't make a card without pearls. Even though they are not real :o) I made them with Stanger Pearl paste.

Inside of the card is a similar as front, but I used a smaller butterfly :) It is punched with Martha Stuart punch. Paper lace is made with Nelly's multi frame's Border 2. Sentiment is computer generated.
That is it for this week. Thanks for looking and enjoy your week!

Snowman in the snow

Only good thing about Mondays is a new challenge at Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover Challange :o) This week theme is:

So dig out your digi image and play with us :o) You can win three PMS images of your choice (five if your winning project has a PMS digi on it).
This week we have a guest designer: Sarah from Take a look and leave some love to her :o)

This week theme was a true challenge. I'm not good at monochrome theme at all. But I still managed to create something (with a little bit of silver... sorry). It's not big surprise that my card turned out blue. I just love blue color :)
The background is made with resist technique. I stamped some snowflakes (We R Memory Keepers - Flurry) with Nellie Snellen's embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. After that I inked the paper with Ranger Distress Ink - Broken China. It is matted on to white paper which is colored with ProMarker (China Blue).

Snowman is from PMS - Snow Happy digi set. He is colored with ProMarkers and popped up with foam tape. I added some Glossy Accents to his hat, scarf, eyes, nose, buttons and heart. Right snowman hand is drawn over the swirl. Swirls are die-cuts made with Crealies CL CS 02 die. They are also covered with Glossy Accents. Snowflakes are punched with Heyda snowflake punches. Larger is colored with same marker as matting layer, smaller snowflake is colored with silver MetallicMarker. I added some more 'snow' with Stanger Pearl paste. Blue ribbon with silver pattern is from my stash.

Inside is similar as front of the card except flurries are stamped with Broken China Distress Ink instead of heat embossing. Sentiments in front and inside are computer generated. And this little snowman hands are hand drawn.  It was too hard to cut them out :o)

Please excuse my awkward translation. The poem sounds much better in Estonian and it goes perfectly with this cute snowman image :o)
Small Jack waits for Christmas
in his head is verse and a hat.
Verse wants to go away,
hardly it fit in there.
Because of that he wears the hat,
Small Jack waits for Christmas

As you can see I'm not very active with card making right now. I've been very busy to making some cards ahead because I'm going to a trip next week for ten days. In next two Mondays I'll schedule my posts. Hopefully they go up. I'm not able to check it before July 26th.
Thank you for looking and have a fab summer!

Happy birthday, Mom!

Have you ever made any easel card? If not, it's time to start. We have a perfect chance for you this week at Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover Challange - It's an easel time!!! I'm so happy for that. And don't forget to use a digi image on your card.

Easel cards are my favorite card type. I love to make them :o) But so far I haven't made any twisted easel. I thought I'll give it a try. Any why to limit my self with only one easel :o) Here it is. My first triple easel card with two twisted easels. It's also the largest card I've ever made.

While my Americans friends re celebrating 4th July, I have my own little party in here, in Estonia. It's my mothers birthday on that day :o) This card is for her.
While I was looking images on my card, these two remind me my mom. Then I was a child we had a little farm. All our animals and birds was fond to my mom. Everywhere she went they followed her. It was so fun to look my mom and bunch of geese, ducks and chickens following her :o) She is just like Carma Fairy and Lauren in Love (not available as digi, hopefully soon it is) - spreading her love to everyone.
