Autumn cake

This week at the Paper Makeup Stamps we have an Inspiration Photo to get your creative juice flowing. It's really beautiful autumn cake and it looks so delicious...

The photo inspired me to make a side-step card with a similar cake. Following photo is made last night. I wasn't happy with the card. The candles on the cake blended in to the background too much. So I changed it a bit...

I re-colored the green stripes on the candles with atSpicaYou Lime Green glitter pen, candle light is covered with Clear Star glitter pen and candles and lights are covered with Glossy Accents. Much better :o) Now I'm happy and willing to share my card with you :)

On the main image is Natalie. She is colored with Promarkers and on her wings are covered with stickles.Sentiment is made by me.

I made the layered cake similar as on inspiration photo and added striped candles. It was very late then I finished the card so I didn't want to spend much time to cut out the candle lights. So I punched couple leaf branches and snipped the leaves off. Easy! As you can see I went a little pearl crazy again :) And there is some stickles and liquid pearl paste on top of the cakes :o)
