Friendly notes

I have planning to make a post-it notes holder for a long time. Finally had some time for it :) It is a gift for a Valentines Day. In Estonia we call that day Sõbrapäev (Friends day). I like this name more :o) Sometimes we forgot to thank our friends and this day is perfect to too it, not only our Valentines :o)

The image on the card is a freebie from Meljen's Design. All her digis are so gorgeous. Love them.

I love to make my own background papers. That way I have a freedom to choose colors I like and make it suitable for my project :o) I chose  blue and peach stripes pattern and made some digital ink splatters on it. I think it turned out lovely. Meljen's Donkey is also colored digitally with same colors.  Text inside is made in computer. It says "That you always have someone to share your joys and worries" 

Edges of the papers are distressed with scissors and distress ink - vintage photo. Love that ink :o) I also used some black pen (stitches) and Sky Blue atyouSpica marker (heart on the donkey and text). Can't too anything without Glossy accents :o) Hearts on the digi image and heart that says "märkmed" (notes) are all covered with it :o)

I think I'll make some more similar post-it holders with different color schemes. This Sweet Little Donkey is too cute to use it only one time :o)

Pink butterfly

Unbelievable but I made this simple tiny card three days... I started with it on late Friday evening. I was too exhausted so I had to quit and continued on Saturday evening. It was very hard card. Everything I did, I didn't like it. So many ideas but it didn't work out for me. Before going to bed I finished the inside of the card and I was happy with it. But the front cover... Oh well... Sometimes is a good night sleep best thing to get inspiration :o) So here it is, finally. And I like it :o)

Card is small (8 cm x 8,5 cm) 'cause I wanted to use a scrap piece of red paper. It is stamped with my oldest background stamp (Viva Decor "Letters and Embellishments). It is nice stamp but has got undeservedly little attention by me. Butterflies are stamped and cut out with Sizzix Framelits Die Set with Rubber Stamps "Butterflies" It is so awesome set. Love it so much. All stamping is made with Ranger Distress inks - vintage photo. Butterflies are colored with watercolor pencil (without water). Big butterfly is covered with Ranger Glossy Accents. Love how the glossy accent has melted the pencil color. Card itself is cut with Spellbinders Lacey Circles die. I seriously need to buy some new dies :o) Small flowers are punched with dbCraft small flower punch. I didn't had any pink paper so I colored white paper with felt pen. That's why they look a bit uneven. But I like that way :o) On the centers of flowers are liquid pearls. One unusual thing I like to use on my cards is a eye shadow :o) It's not very well seen on the photos though. The center piece on front of the card  and sentiment inside are covered with purple eye shadow. It gives very nice delicate color and soft shimmer :o)

Sparkling winter

I just can't help myself :o) I love to make some pieces of the card digitally on my computer and then assemble them on the card :o)

http://www.vintageimages.org/ is a wonderful place to find vintage images. I got my inspiration to make this card from a this vintage bird picture. I love this blue and pinkish brown color combination.

Background papers are made by me. I don't know where did I got the music sheet paper which is on front of the card. I have it long time but I've never used it. Blue and brown paper with snowflakes I designed in my computer. The song on one of the paper is "Kodulaul"  (Home Song) by Olev Ehala from movie called "Nukitsamees". Then I was about 10 y.o my brother and I played the main characters on the same play in our local Culture House. This song is very special to me. I'm glad I could put it on the card :)

The swirls are cut out with Crealies Creative Shapes die and covered with glitter. Snowflakes are punched with two different size snowflake punches and also covered with glitter :) I also used some liquid pearls and dp Craft border punch (Fence) to make circle strips inside the card. All pieces are distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink.

Gingerbread butterflies

I really love butterflies on my cards but I have managed to hold myself back and haven't use them for long time. Couldn't resist any more and here they are :o) Probably it is just me but the brown pieces on the card looks like gingerbread :o) Maybe 'cause it's not very much time passed from Christmas...

To make this card I used my new dies and stamps from Sizzix Framelits Die Set with Rubber Stamps - Butterflies. I stamped and cut out with them by butterflies and flowers. It is so awesome thing. Love it so much :o) Other things I used: Viva Decor Silicone Stamp "Letters and Embellishments" (background paper), Spellbinders Lacey Circles dies, Dovecraft Back To Basic Christmas gems, Pergamano Gel Pen - white, Gelly Roll Stardust pen, Ranger Glossy Accents, Ranger Distress inks - vintage photo and broken china, Memento tuxedo black ink, sentiment is printed out with my computer, brown cardstock and blue ribbon from my stash.
