Welcome Little Princess

Hello my friends! Last week I was in search of new blog design. Some days everything changed in an hours. I tried different backgrounds and templates. I liked them at first but some time later I decided that it is not me. By now I think I'm happy with it. I have few small changes I want to make but it can wait.
Sentiment: "Welcome little Princess"
Today I have a baby card to share with you. As you probably know, I like stitching on cards. But because I don't have sewing machine I either use digitally drawn stitches with digi papers or pierce small holes to the pattern and draw lines with pen. I like digi stitching more (and it's much easier for me), but some times (like with this card) I forgot to use them with digi papers. I think I need to make a big wall sign with text: "Digi papers = digi stitching" I had to do a lot of piercing with this card. It was all worth it!
The edges of pattern papers was inked with distress ink. Pearl swirls are made with Pearl Pen. Next time I'll put pearl dots closer to each other. I used Versamark pen to draw the guide lines where to put pearls. The lacy edge in front of the card is made with MS border punch. I kept the leftover hearts from white paper and glued them to the holes of pink paper. These little hearts are covered with Stickles.

Hello my friends! I'd like to share with you a card I made for a very special lady for her 104 birthday. Wow! Isn't it amazing number! I feel so honoured to make a card for her.
We have very lovely tradition at work to congratulate our elder citizens, living in our small parish, on their magnificent birthdays. They usually get store bought card signed by our mayor and flowers. Then I saw list of September birthdays I knew that there is one person who must get handmade card.

I love white cards but somehow I'm not able to capture them on photos properly (I have on white on white wedding card I haven't shared because of it). I think you just have to believe, then I say, this card is much prettier on real. I used some of my favorite dies on this card. The rose is made with Rose Creations die cuts. I inked the edges with light green ink and added some stickles. All numbers, flourishes and butterflies are covered with stickles.

Inside of the card
There is a pocket in inside of the card. On the left side is a place for a good wishes and for a signature. I blurred it on the photo to keep the privacy of a Birthday child.

Inks: TH Distress ink - Tea Dye; Memento - Pear Tart
Papers:  First Edition - Floral Pavilion; White paper from my stash

Apples to Apples

Hello my sweet friends. This week at the Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover challenge blog is most fantastic theme ever: Make your own background. I love making my own background papers, either digital or inks and stamps, it's always so much fun.
PMS has one fantastic stamp set that haven't got any attention from me. It's called Apples to Apples set. It has lots of apples and lovely sentiments on it.
For a main image I printed one apple out and colored it with Promarkes.

For background papers I used two apples. They both are colored digitally in PhotoShop. I made several copies of them, resized and turned them around to make my paper. I also added digitally drawn stitching around the border. For the chevron paper I used Chevron Overlay from Pixel Scrapper. After printing the papers I distressed the edges with scissors.
On to the chevron paper I added some sparkle with Gelly Roll pen. I draw a line and rubbed it while it was still wet. That way it has a very subtle shine. I like this effect. I also cut out three little apples and glued them on top of the banner.

The last two cards I made for MPS, I didn't decorate the inside. This time I wanted to correct my mistake and decorated both sides in the inside. On the left is a pocket for a gift card or money.  And on the right is a place to write a sentiment and good wishes.

Now to the bad part. I'm so sad today. This card is the last card I made as a Paper Makeup Stamps Design Team member. I have to move on and face the new challenges. PMS was my first design team, I'm very honoured I was able to craft with these gorgeous digi stamps and  with this fabulous and talented team.  It was fantastic time, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Thank you, Michelle, for asking me to join with PMS team! Thank you, Katie, for a chance to play with your gorgeous digis! Thank you, Michelle and Emily, for coordinating us! And big thanks to all talented ladies in our team. You all were so kind and nice to me. I'm going to miss playing with you.

Thank you display card

Hello my friends! I have one more project to share with you on this week. Estonian Red Cross was really kind and gave free school bags filled with notebooks, pencils etc, to the kids in our parish. My boss wanted to send a thank you card to the Red Cross. So I made one

Sentiment: Some moments are more beautiful then other,
some moments are really, really beautiful

This gorgeous image is from Beccy's Place called Roses and Pears. I colored it with Promarkers and added several layers on top of it. I haven't played with Beccy's images a long time. I missed it.
The sentiment is printed to vellum. These words are actually a song lyrics by Jaan T├Ątte. The song title is "Ilus hetk" (Beautiful moment).

I added some stickles to the roses and butterflies. I also played with Frantage again (love this stuff).
Image layer is attached with brad so it slides off. I didn't had any white brads, so I covered light green brad with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white EP.

Thank you words and good wishes are hidden behind the pears and roses. I clued a tiny ribbon behind the image, it will make easier to move the image layer (although it's not necessary, if card is tilt a bit, the image layer slides off and reveal the message)

I wanted to make this card the way it would be easy to display. It has a little stand clued behind the card.

Dream as if you'll live forever

Hello my friends! It's Monday again. Only nice thing about Mondays is that it is time for another Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover challenge. This week we want to see Pearls and Lace on your project.
I made this card yesterday. Because it was raining outside I felt I want something bright on my card. It turned out a bit too bright but I like it anyway. The sentiment is named Dream as though you'll live forever.

I have never put a flower on top of the butterfly but why not. I think it looks like a big butterfly comes with flowers and covers all the the land with lovely bright flowers. I know I'm strange some time.
I used Gelly Roll gel pen to add sparkle to the card. It's hard to see it on the photo so I just say there it is. Stitching are sparkling and so is the layer under the sentiment (tiny yellow peaks, looks like a small sun rays to me) and on embossed scallops on the Round Lily layer.
Take a look to the Paper Makeup Stamps Digi Makeover challenge blog to see all those wonderful cards my talented team mates made for this week. You can also find instructions how to participate in the challenge

Poppy Inspired

Hello my friends! Oh boy, I can't believe it's already September. I wish it would be June again and summer would start all over. This month at Stamping Sensation we have perfect theme to look back to the summer: Poppy Inspired. Here is also a photo you can take inspiration from. Isn't it lovely!

I made few post-it notes covers and did some water coloring with felt-pens. It was my number one coloring technique before I tried Promarkers. I still love it! It's really easy. You just have to scribble with water base felt pen to acetate, pick up color from there with water-brush and start coloring.

I made3 different style for post-it notes covers with 4 different design.

Style 1
Sentiment: May you always have someone to share your joys and sorrows!
On front of the red covers some flowers are popped up with foam tape.

Sentiment: Most beautiful moments in life often come as  surprise

Style 3
These was my two little poppy inspired projects. Go over to Stamping Sensation blog to see more stunning projects and to get all the instructions how to participate on the challenge. As always, there is awesome prize for the winner. Our sponsor is Stamps by Chloe. You can win this fantastic prize:

All these poppies made me think summer. And one thing that goes with summer are cornflowers. They are my favorite flowers. I couldn't resist not to make some post-it notes covers with them.

Style 2 on left,  Style 1 on right

Inside of style 1

I like the covers with cornflower and easel stand most. I also made little guide how you can make similar projects. Here is a link. It is in cm and works with 75mm x 75mm post-it notes.

Materials used:
Stamps: Poppies from  Supercoloring; Cornflower from Squidoo; I couldn't find a link to poppies digi on first cover. The file name in my computer says it'd from Scrapbook Stamp Society
Coloring: Carioca water base felt pens
Inks:  Memento - Pear Tart; TH Distress Inks - Pine Needle, Faded Jeans, Broken China
Papers: Red, blue, green, brown, and water color papers  from my stash
