Free standing pop-up card

Hello my friends! Be warned: this post is picture heavy. I just wanted to show all the details of this card. It is first time I made a free standing pop up card. You can find a very good tutorial by Brenda Smalle from here.

Edges of pattern papers are inked with Broken China Distress Ink. The sentiment label is made with a tag die. I used partial die cutting for that. First I made one side of the sentiment, then turned the die around and die cut other side of the sentiment.

I used two stamps as my focal image: a scene from A Winter Wonderland set and snowman from Snow One Like You set. First I stamped Snowman with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After masking it I stamped scene on top with same ink. Image is colored with Promarkes and I adhered some Crystal Ice with Sakura Glue Pen to the snow banks and trees. Scarf, mittens and part of the snowman hat are also colored with Sakura Glue Pen and covered with Waterfall glitter.

Pattern Paper with snowflakes are blinged up with Crystal Ice glitter. On top of the card I used Dimensional Glue to adhere the glitter, and pattern paper which is on the bottom (shows only then the card is folded flat) I used Sakura Glue Pen.

Brads are heat embossed with White Detail EP. I also added some Dimensional Glue on top of the brads and covered them with Waterfall glitter.

I used plain white sheer ribbon and applied thin strips of Mega Tack Glue to the edges and covered glue with Waterfall glitter. Bow was added to the card after everything else was assembled. I placed a small blob of Mega Tack Glue the place I wanted to adhere the ribbon and let it dry a bit. After the glue is turned clear, it is like sticky glue dot. It's perfect to attach the bow.

The image panel stands thanks to the the Embossable Acetate. It's not sturdy enough all by it self so I added 1cm wide strip of brown cardstock in between panel layers. Snowflakes are heat embossed with White Detail EP.

To the pattern papers with stripes I added snowflakes. They are stamped with Versamark ink and snowflakes from Snow One Like You set and heat embossed with Sparkle EP.

It's unbelievable how easy this card is to make. Best thing is that it can be folded flat for mailing in regular size envelope.

You can see the  full instructions how to make this card from SNS Art Gallery here

Vintage Birthday

Hello my friends! With all those Christmas cards I've made recently, I've missed making a Birthday cards and coloring a digi image and using digital papers. So here's one I made on the weekend.

Most about using digi paper I love that I can add digital stitching to them. I used freebie paper from Bearly Mine Design and made my own pink pattern paper for peeking through.

Girl's dress is digitally paper pieced from the same BMD pattern paper and flowers are paper pieced old fashion way (with scissors) from my own pink paper.  Image is colored with Pro- and Flexmarkers and I added some stickles to her wings and golden gel pen to her jewelery and flowers.

The rose is made with SB Rose Creation dies. It is actually made earlier this year for another card but I didn't use it. The edges of the petals was inked with Tea Dye distress ink. To make it mach with my current card I added Tattered Angel Coral Reef Glimmer Mist to the flower and some Cotton Candy Stickles to the edges.

I was happy with this card until now. I just noticed I've forgot to add stitching around the poem. How could I not see it before?! It bugs me now. Ohh, silly me...

Materials used:
Stamps: Fitztown - Fae 2

Papers: Bearly Mine Design - Steampunk 1 freebie; CraftworksCard card base; Cart-us - Christmas Collection; Green and white cardstock
Coloring: Promarkers, Flexmarkers
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye

Dashing through the snow

Hello my sweet friends! Today I'd like to remind you that you still have time to participate on two awesome challenges. On Stamping Sensation the theme is Christmas. Favorite card selected by the DT will win £35 voucher to spend on Stamp Addicts. And at Sparkle N Sprinkle  theme is Anything goes with Glitter, Embossing Powder and/or Flocking. Everyone in Top 3 will win digi stamps from SNS Store. These two challenges work great together. You have time until 27th November to submit your Christmas project and until end of the month to submit any project with some sparkle or embossing powder.

On my cards I had fun with stamps, inks and embossing powders. The background of the image is inked with three Distress inks - Milled Lavender, Broken China, Faded Jeans. I did second generation stamping with Faded Jeans and script stamp. Swirls are also stamped with Feaded Jeans. Distress inks stay wet quite long, so I used heat tool to speed up the process and generous amount of Anti-Static powder. Then I stamped the deer with VersaMark ink and heat embossed the image with Dark Night EP. On the corners I used Fran-tage embossing enamel. I usually don't like to experiment on the card but this time I went for it. Fran-tage seemed too white so I sprinkles some Dark Night EP on top of it and heat embossed it under the CS. I loved it so I decided to sprinkle some more Dark Night EP to all around of this panel.

Matting layer is also covered with Dark Night EP.  It is my most favorite EP. I absolutely love this color and shimmer it have. The sentiment is from SNS Christmas Holly Stamp Set and it is heat embossed ... can you guess... yes, Dark Night EP.

Materials used:
Stamps: SNS -
Christmas Holly Stamp Set 507;
Viva Decor Silicone Stamp - Floral Embellishments, Letters and Embellishments; Katzelkraft - Nuit de Noel
Embossing Powders: SNS Dark Night Embossing Powder EP362; Stampendous Fran-tage - shabby white

Christmas Bauble Card

Hello my friends! I'm here today to share another Christmas card with you. It's really simple to make.I used two new stamp sets revealed on 1st November - the Winter Wonderland stamp set and the Flourishes Two stamp set

For the background I used purple shimmer paper. I stamped big flourishes from Flourishes Two stamp set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with Sparkle Embossing Powder. For the edges I used VersaMarker pen and draw a thin frame around the paper. After that I heat embossed it with Silver Detail EP. I used second largest Circles die from Spellbinders to cut the hole in to the purple paper.

For the 'bouble' I stamped a big flourish with a Lavender Distress ink to a white cardstock. It's really important to let Distress Ink dry completely before you stamp sentiment on top of it. I used heat tool to speed up the process. And after that I used Anti-Static Pouch in heavy handed, just to be completely sure that EP won't stick anywhere else but the sentiment. Sentiment is from the Winter Wonderland stamp set. It is stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP.
Now the real fun begins... Lay down a strip of  1/8" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape to above and below the sentiment. Next to them place a strips of 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape. And on top of all (and above) add a strips of  1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape. Remove protective sheets from 1/4" Tear-ific tapes, cover them with Reflection Velvet Glitter, burnish it in and tap off the excess. Now remove protective sheets from rest of the tapes cover them with Fiery Fushia glitter.

All you need to too now is cut a square of white cardstock, die cut a hole to it with third largest circle from SB Circles set and glue it behind the previously made Purple paper so the white border can be seen through the hole. I used VersaMarker to draw a border to the white CS on close to the purple paper and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP.  On top part I tied a silver string and a little bow.

The 'bouble' layer is glued down to the card base and purple layer is popped up with foam tape. To get a perfect placement, I put some foam squares around the hole behind the purple layer. This way I can fit 'bouble' perfectly to the hole. Now I place more foam squares around the back side of the purple layer and add liquid glue behind the 'bouble' layer and glue it all the card base.

, Flourishes Two stamp set #520

Staming Sensation Christmas

Hello my friends. It is a first Sunday of November. It is time for a new Challenge at Stamping Sensation. This month we have a very easy theme - Christmas
And we have a fantastic prize from Stamp Addicts. I made a very simple card using one of the lovely images from Nicecrame Designes. I printed the image, cut it out, added some Glossy Accents to the edges and covered it with Suze Weinberg's BeaDazzles. After glue was dried a I added layer of Glossy Accents on top, just to make sure that little beads won't fall off. Glossy Accents are also added to the berries on the image and on the pattern paper. Sentiment is from Holiday Foliage and heat embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkel Gold Detail embossing powder.

After assembling the card I added some SNS Brushable Glue the the image and lace and sprinkled some Diamond Dust glitter on it.

Winter Wonderland stamp set

Flourishes Two stamp set

How the Mystery Party works:
On two of the participating blogs below, a Commenter will be selected to receive the prize.

But before that, take a look to the tag/ornament I made with this fantastic Winter Wonderland stamp. This scene is absolutely wonderful and so easy to color.
I adhere 4½" long stip of 2½” Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" to red cardstock and die-cut it with Spellbinders oval with decorative corners die from Radiant Rectangles set. After removing the  protective sheet I added Gypsy Red Velvet Glitter on top and burnished it in.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black on top of the piece of paper covered with 2½" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" and Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter. Oval is die cut with Spellbinder die. Image is colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I added some Dimensional Glue to the trees, snowflakes and around the oval and sprinkled some Diamond Dust Glitter on top.
Golden oval is covered with Gold Detail embossing powder.
The bow is adhered with Mega Tack Glue. Put some glue to the back of the bow. Let it dry a bit. Attach it to place. You will never have to buy any glue dots again.
You'll find full direction of how I made this tag from  SNS art gallery.

Little deer on back of the tag is die-cut with Marianne Design Die out of piece of cardstock covered with 2½” Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape". After removing protective sheet I covered it with Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft and color it with brown marker.
No one knows who the Mystery Designers are, so you may wish to visit each blog to leave a comment. The winners will be announced on November 3 on Facebook, the SNS blog, and on our blogs:
