Little birdie

Hello my friends. I'm back with another card. Much later then I should have, but I wasn't able to finish my card on time. On Sunday was 95th birthday of Estonia Republic and I was caught up with all interesting events.

Yesterday started a new challenge at the Paper Makeup Stamps. This week we want to see stripes. And don't forget to use digi image on your project.

I used two stamps from Tweet Things digi set - one in front of the card and other inside. Images are colored with Pro- and Flexmarkers. I also used Sparkling gel pen on the bird cage.

Now here comes the part I finished yesterday evening. Although the front of the card was done on time, I didn't want to share it before because for me the card was incomplete.

Inside of the card is a pocket for the gift-card.

Dress Form

Good day my friends! I'm very exited to share my today's card. I used one of the Beccy's Place newest digi Dress Form. It is such a beautiful image. It comes with one pre-colored digi, one b&w line art and you also get a dress form without flowers.

I love all the shabby chic cards I see in  others blogs, but this style is mystery to me. I don't know what shabby chic means. But I think it something with pastel colors, feminine, an old looking and shabby. I really don't know. Can someone please explain how one shabby chic card should look like :) Anyway, here is my first attempt to make card with this style. It probably not correct but I'm happy with it :)

This card goes to a special lady. She is almost blind. Sadly she can't see the beautiful stamp but I used lots of layers, dimension, pearls and fuzzy yarn, so hopefully she gets a slight idea about this card. Layer with dress form is popped up with foam tape and so is the dress form stand. Stand is covered with Glossy Accents. I'm going to improve the card and print out an extra layer of flowers and add them with foam tape too, then she can feel the flowers. I wish I thought about earlier...

Inside of the card is a pocket. I tied a little label to the pocket So everyone can sign it with their own hands. Edges of layers are distressed with scissors and after that I inked them with distress ink. The card base is actually white but I re-colored the edges with distress ink.

Coffee cup

It's me again :) Before I share my card, I want to apologize to all my dear online friends. Lately I haven't been very good friend. Even though I keep an eye on your blogs and enjoy looking your amazing cards and projects, I haven't left you any comments and signs that I visited you. I'm so so sorry. I'd love to say that I improve my self, but right now I can't give that promise. Days go by so quickly and I struggle to find time for it.

 

 

Today started a new challenge at the Paper Makeup Challenges. This time it's Anything Goes (as long you use digi image). 

My card is inspired from Caffeine Trip digi set. The background is made from one of the stamps in the set. I just used several caf*feine sentiments side by side to create newspaper style paper. After printing it out I inked it with Distress inks. Coffee spills are cut out and clued to the paper. Coffee cup is popped up with foam tape and the lid is also popped up with foam tape on top of the cup.

Inside of the card I used three more digis from the same set.  I actually like the inside of the card even better :) It's much cleaner.

Full Bloom

Here's my latest card showing the newest digi from Beccy's Place. It is called Full Bloom. I thought it would be nice if almost all card front is filled with it. It is such a beautiful flower so I kept rest of the card very simple.

Green Frog

Ups, I forgot to upload a card again. Oh, please, can someone give me a better memory...

I used Beccy's Place latest digi called Green Frog (I used pre-colored version of it). This is cutest frog ever!!! I wish our frogs look so adorable too. Don't you love the beginning of the spring then you hear frogs in the pond. I can't wait it :)

Sentiment: "Happy Birthday!"

I had so much fun making this card. Lots of inking, stamping and misting :) My table was a big mess but who cares... It was fun :) Background was inked with distress ink and script was stamped with the same ink. After that I misted the white paper with Tattered Angel mist while using die-cut leaves as mask. On the card front the beige sheet is popped up with foam tape.

I got smarter today :) Today, in Estonia, is Vastlapäev. I searched how to translate it to English and turned out that it is a Shrove Tuesday which is also known as Pancake Day. So happy Pancake Day everybody!

Today almost every Estonian eat pea soup, boiled pig feet and buns with whipped cream (vastlakukkel). The last two of them are actually very tasty (specially the last one). And we compete with each other who takes the longest ride down a slope on snow. Fun, fun, fun :)  In earlier times, it was strictly forbidden to work on that day, people visited and held a dance parties instead. I wonder why this tradition is gone...

Photo inspiration

Hello my friends. This week at the Paper Makeup Challenges we have an inspirational photo.

Here's my card. The digi image I used is Chelsea. She looks so cheerful with her flower basket. I inked some clouds behind her and stamped few leaves too.

Pattern on the card base is stamped with Hero Arts Fern stamp and embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added lots of pearls, I just couldn't stop :)

Piano card

Earlier this week I made a this card. It went to a local folk dance teacher to celebrate her 70th birthday. 

I used many different dies and beautiful digi image "Clementis Beccy" by Beccy Muir. I reassembled the flowers and printed three copies so I could make them dimensional. I love these flowers. Flowers are colored with Promarkers. On center of them is white flower soft which I colored with brown marker. I also added few drops of Glossy Accents to the petals and leaves. The nr 70 is printed from computer and it's also covered with Glossy Accents.

The card template is my own made. It's not perfect but I'm still happy about it. Edges of almost all pieces are inked with distress ink. The leave branches are die-cut from semi transparent white paper, the leaves for inside are colored with marker.

Inside of the card is a pocket for money.

Love is in the air

Sometimes it's nice to make a card just for fun. I have no idea what occasion this card would be suitable, I just enjoyed making it :)

Image is Love by Beccy Muir. I love those balloons. It looks like they lift the word up to the air. To make them look 'rubbery' I covered them with Glossy Accents.

Clouds are hand cut. Before attaching them to card, I turned them over and used them as masks to ink the clouds on background layer.

Red, black and white

Hello my friends! How was your weekend? I can't believe it. It's already a February. January went by so fast. It's good. Few more months and it's spring. I miss warm sunny days, leaves on the trees, green grass, flowers and butterflies. But 'til then I just make more cards :)

The theme of this week at the Paper Makeup Challenges is Red, Black and White. You can make any paper craft project as long there is a digi image on it.

I made another Birthday card.  I browsed through my cards and noticed that I have lots of Christmas cards left but no Birthday cards. I needed one. So here it is :) I used Moody for Flowers as main image. Card it self is very simple. And I love it :) I wanted black flourishes to the decorative red strip but it went to busy. So I die-cutted another piece and masked bottom half with the leftover from the die-cut. That looks much better.

Valentine's candy

Hi my friends! Today I have a little pink and brown treat to share. I used Beccy's Place newest digi called Be My Bear. Isn't it cute?! Love his darling face and the way his hides his big heart behind him.
 

Sent: "Beautiful Valentine's Day"

I made a chocolate candy holder/tent card. The candy package can be taken out of it without destroying the card. Without the candy inside, it's a regular tent card and you can see the pattern paper heart through the die-cut window  (I forgot to photograph it. I'm sorry).

The back side of the card is waiting a hand written message. Because of that the white die-cut piece is attached with removable tape. So I can remove the paper, write the message and clue it back with stronger clue :)

The lovely designer paper is from Polka Doodles CD - Picnix 1. I won it from Polka Doodles Challenge. I'm so happy :) This CD is amazing. There's lots of beautiful papers and all kind of other things.
