Rocco with Roses

Hello my sweet friends. I'm sorry I have been so quiet again. I'm too busy to make cards. I love card making much more than writing a blog post about them :) I probably not only one, right?

Here is a card I made with lovely Rocco. He is so darling. I like cards with different folds. This time I made simple step card. All golden matting layers are made with SNS Gold Detail embossing powder. I covered edges of the white cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with golden EP. Big flourish die cut is cut in two to decorate my card.

Rocco is colored with Promarkers. If you are interested how I made the golden splatters around the image, take a look my SNS post here. It's really fun to make them and I love the effect they give. Donna named this as Faux Montage Style Embossing Powder Splatters. Thank you, Donna!

For the background I used piece of pattern paper. I stamped the big flourish with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Golden Detail EP. Because the rose on pattern papers is covered with spot UV some EP stick to it even though I used Anti-Static Bag.  For a second I was upset and reached for new paper but then I started to like it. The crackle effect on the rose and tiny EP sprinkles was nice together. I added some extra embossing powder splatters to the corners as well.

Candle box/card

Hello my friends!  There is a bit over 11 months until next Christmas. It's right time to start with Christmas cards :) Actually I made it last year. It's a card and a tea light candle box in one. It's super easy to make and is lovely gift to give

Candle box holds three tea light candles. I used two coordinating pattern papers to decorate my box and card. Wisteria EP is used to heat emboss flourishes from Flourishes Two stamp set to the pattern papers. Edges of the papers are inked with Faded Jeans Distress ink. I pierced tiny holes near the edges and draw lines between them with white gel pen to make faux stitches.

All sentiments are stamped with Versamark ink and sentiment stamps from Holiday Foliage stamp set. After stamping I covered sentiments with Silver Detail EP and heat embossed them. Sentiments are die-cut with oval die from SB Radiant Rectangle set. While die cut piece was still in the die I dry-embossed it and inked inside of the oval with Milled Lavender and Faded Jeans Distress inks. I applied less ink to the center and more to the edges. I needed three ovals in total. One empty oval is for place to write something personal for receiver.

Rolled flower and Scalloped ovals are cut with my new Silhouette Portrait. I added some leaves made with SB Foliage and Memory Box Fabulous Phlox dies. Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourishdie cut is inked with Versamark and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. After that I cut it in pieces and used it in various places.

To the corners of the acetate window  I added some Brushable Glue and sprinkled Diamond Dust glitter on top.

Here's a template if you wish to make your own tea light candle box with card (Click on the image to see it larger). You can see full direction of my project from SNS Gallery.

The winners will be announced on January 3 on Facebook, the SNS blog, and on our blogs:

Spunky is so adorable. I just had to use her on my easel card. The idea to use two ovals to make a heart is from this beautiful card.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Red Apple EP.

Flower is made with SB Rose Creations die cuts. I added some Dimensional Glue to the edges of petals and sprinkled Carnation glitter on top.

Branches are covered with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Green Marbled Christmas EP. This color is not only good for Christmas :)

I stamped hearts from the set to a pattern paper, traced them with Sakura Glue Pen and covered with Diamond Dust glitter.

Spunky Skunk is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Her nose, bow and heart are colored with Promarkers. I wanted to try something different then I usually do. Instead of coloring the image with markers I used  Sakura Glue Pen to apply Night Sky and Twinkling Clouds Flocking Powder to the Spunky body. She is fussy cut and clued to an small oval layer. Her nose and heart are covered with Glossy Accents.

To see full instructions how I made this card, look my SNS Gallery.
