Bird Cage

Hello my friends! Today I want to share a spring card. No surprise here :) I really enjoyed making it and I love the outcome.

I started with a background. I made a cloud template and inked clouds with Broken China Distress Ink  to the card front.
And to finish off my card I made some tiny pearls all around the grass and to the blossom centers with white Pearl Pen. After pearls was dry, I colored them with yellow marker.

I'm very pleased with my bird cage. I made my own cut file for it. After cutting the bird cage I covered it with
Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Detail EP. I added more Versamark ink, sprinkled some Skylight EP in random places and heat embossed again. I covered everything with Versamark ink once more and added a layer of Magic Speckle on top. After heating it with heat gun the cage looked awesome. Love the effect that Magic Speckle gives. Can you see the shine on the photo? You can't even tell that it is a paper. Then the bird cage was put together I glued some fuzzy yarn to the inside of the cage and tied a piece of twine on top of the cage.

If you have a Silhouette machine you can get the cut file from here. If you don't have a cutting machine, don't be sad. you still can make one. I made a little guide what pieces you'll need or you can cut out exact same bird cage. This file is in here.

I used lovely bird from Shabby Chic Birdhouse Stamp Set #481. Bird is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers. Image is cut out with scissors by leaving small white border all around.

Both grass layers are cut out from the same paper, I just inked one of them with Pine Needle Distress Ink. I used the left over negative piece of grass as a mask to ink the grass to the card base. Brads were covered with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Caramel EP. Same EP was used to heat emboss the sentiment.

Beside the bird cage I'm really happy with the frame too. The frame is made of textured watercolor cardstock. I inked it with light coat of Versamark ink. I added White Detail EP on top. After tapping off the excess powder I took a toothpick and scraped some EP away. I made vertical lines to mimic wood-grain texture. After heat embossing I inked the frame with Broken China Distress Ink. With damp cloth I wiped off the excess ink. Then I took Versamarker pen and draw some lines to the inside and outside edges of the frame. This was covered with Dust Storm EP and heat embossed.

The frame is lift off with two layers of foam tape. To hide the tape peeking from side I wrapped white twine all around the frame sides.

You can see the full instructions of this card in the SNS gallery here.

Mother's Day Fridge Magnet

Hello my friends. Here's a little project I made for a Mother's Day - a Fridge Magnet with lovely stamp from A Mother's Love Stamp Set.
Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and is colored with Promarkers. Wings, grown, flowers and sun are colored over with Sakura Glue Pen and covered with glitters. For wings and sun I used Cloud Nine Microfine Velvet Glitter. Grown is covered with Sunny Daze Glitter and flowers with Bubble Gum Glitter. I think the sun wasn't covered properly with Cloud Nine because then I added Bubble Gum to the flowers, some pink stick to the sun too. It's ok, I actually like it this way more :)

To the edges of the base layer I added strips of 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape. After peeling of the protective sheet I attached the image layer on top. Rest of the sticky tape was covered with  Orchid Rose Microfine Velvet Glitter.
Sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink to the Vellum and heat embossed with Stickum Powder. Quickly I added Orchid Rose Glitter on top and heat set it again. Vellum piece is attached to the image layer with Mega Tack Glue. Just a tiny drops of the glue behind the words and to the both ends and it sticks perfectly. It would be easier to tuck the vellum edges behind the image layer but if you think of it too late you have to be creative :) I covered the edges with Sakura Glue Pen and sprinkled Orchid Rose Glitter on top so it would match the base layer.

I should have made a photo of the back side too but I forgot. Silly me. I cut a piece of self adhesive Magnetic Sheet and stick it to the back side. Really simple and lovely gift.
You can find full directions how to make this magnet from the SNS gallery here.
Just to remind you, there is still time to participate on two awesome challenges: At the Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge blog the theme is Anything goes. You have to use a loose glitter, embossing powder and/or flocking. And at the Stamping Sensation the theme is Wings, Fantasy and Fiction. You have until 25th February to upload your projects.

Yellow Tulips

Hello my friends! Do you miss spring, warm weather and sunshine? As you can see on following card, I do. My hand just reach to a pretty flower stamps and sunny colors.

I used lots of different dies to make my card. I used textured white cardstock and not so heavy coat of Brushable glue to achieve a bit shabby look on the glittered part of the card. Except one piece of light green pattern paper inside of the card, everything else is made with white cardstock.
Grass is colored green with marker, after that I put some Brushable glue on top and covered with Aqua Marine Glitter.
Card base is made out of  10,7 x 22,5 cm piece of white cardstock. I scored it from longer side at 2, 16, 18 and 20 cm.  Both ends are punched with Doily Lace edge punch. I messed up one end and had to cut it shorter. So I made another piece of punched edge and glued it on top. All the yellow glitter on the card is amazing and beautiful Daisy Velvet Glitter and all green is made with Aqua Marine.

Sentiment is stamped with Pear Tart ink and quickly covered with Clear Detail EP and heat embossed. Sentiment is cut out with largest Label Four die. Behind this I put a green circle and yellow Label One underneath.

Tulips are stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers. With Sakura Glue pen I added some  Daisy Glitter  to the flower petals. I fussy cut them and attached one tulip in front of others with foam tape.

Butterflies are punched from sticker paper and covered with Aqua Marine Glitter. After glitter was burnished in I draw some lines with Sakura Glue pen to the edges of smaller butterflies wings and covered with Daisy   glitter.

Material used:
Stamps: Tulips Stamp set #491;
Glitters: Daisy (GM2019), Aqua Marine (G1062);
Embossing Powders: Clear Detail (EP280);
Adhesives: Mega Tack Glue (545), Brushable Glue (540 ), Sakura Glue Pen (053482384809), Sticker Paper( 99558);
Inks: VersaMark Pad (712353310018); Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black (712353259003), Pear Tart;
Papers: White cardstock, Pattern paper (Docraft - Sunshine Meadows);
Dies: Spellbinder - Standard Circles Large, Classic Scalloped Circles Large, Label Four Small, Labels One Small, Fancy Lattice; Poppystamps Die - Grassland Border;
Punches: Martha Stewart Edge Punch - Doily Lace; Martha Stewart - 3 in 1 Classic Butterflies;

Summer Fairy

Hello my sweet friends. Today I'd like to share with you a card for Stamping Sensation. This month our theme is Wings, Fantasy and Fiction.

We have fantastic prize from awesome sponsor, Crafty Devils, who is offering a £35 voucher for a top card of the month.

Can you see from my card that I'm dreaming of summer :) I used delicious looking digi papers from Bearly Mined. I draw digital stitching to them. Edges of the papers are inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink.

As a main image I used beautiful fairy from Fitztown named Fae 16. I colored her with Promarkers and added lots of stickles to her wings and Gelly Roll Clear Star gel pen to her tattoos.
Little pink pearls around the image are made with Viva Decor Pearl Pen. They were originally white. After they dried I colored the with pink marker.

I used six silver brads on my card. I covered them with Versamark ink and dipped them into a SNS Cotton Candy EP and heated them with a heat gun. Because this EP is semi-transparent I used several coat to cover them.

Sentiment: Happy Birthday!
To decorate the inside of the card I used same pattern papers.

Go to Stamping Sensatsion blog to see how you can enter your project to the challenge. Be sure to visit my team mates blogs also, you're going to be amazed!

Spunky and Rocco #526
Spunky and Bug #523

I apologize for making another easel card for the Reveal Day. I love making them and I won't give any promises that next month I'll make something different. Revealing a new stamp set is a special event and it deserves a special card, which easel cards are for me. Hope you like it.

 I used Mermaid Kisses stamp set on my card. This pretty Mermaid is colored with Promarkers and I added some Lavender Iris Glitter to her body and Waterfall Glitter to the water. I added dark green fuzzy yarn below the image layer and light green pearl string to frame the Mermaid image. All flowers are "colored" with embossing powders. Flowers are not so blue as they appear on the photo. Below is a picture with flower in more true color. Flourishes are covered with Spring Willow EP.

Stamping is done with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added three more little stars around the sentiment layer. For that I inked only a star from 'Belive' stamp. Once again I used Promarkers to color the images. I added some glue with Sakura Glue Pen to the stars and applied Daisy  Glitter on top. Bigger pearls are covered with Glossy accents and small pearls are made with Pearl Pen.

I wish you can see the background layer of this card. I think it's amazing. First I inked the paper with Versamark ink. Covered it with BlueSilver EP, sprinkled some Wisteria EP hear and there and heat embossed. Then I took a cap of pen and used it as a stamp to make some circles with VersaMark ink. These circles was heat embossed with Skylight EP. Embossed layer is matted on op of the layer which is covered with Black SuedeVelvet Glitter.

On picture below you can see the true color of the flowers. Flowers are covered with several embossing powders. First I inked them up with Versamark ink, then tipped the ends of the flower petals in to the Wisteria EP and covered rest of the flower with Amethyst Spray EP, and heated with heat gun. Then I used a Versamarker Pen to scribble some ink to the center of petals and heat embossed with Blueberry EP. Flower centers are heat embossed with Dandy Dandelion EP.

 You can find full directions how to make this card is here.
