I used Journal Mixed Media Stamp Set #606 to make my card. It's really fun to use it on all kind of projects.
I stamped the background with Versamark ink to the tag shape watercolor paper. If you want an uneven stamped image don't mount it to the acrylic block. Versamark ink was covered with White Detail EP and heated with a heat tool. Then I applied Peeled Paint and Broken China Distress inks to the plastic sheet, spritzed with water and smudged embossed tag in the ink.
The rose is cut with dies from Spellbinders Rose Creations set. I stamped each die cut with journal text from the stamp set with Broken China Distress ink. After shaping and assembling the rose I added some more Broken China ink to it.
I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" to the white cardstock and used Marianne Design Leaves die to cut the leaves out. After removing the protective sheet I applied Deep Royal Tinsel to the tape. I learned from super talented Donna to fill the caps between the Tinsel with finer glitter. It looks really nice and adds much more interest. Same method was used for the matting layer.
I used Dry Embossed Flocking Technique by Shona to make the background layer. But instead of embossing folder I used a Dreamweaver metal stencil. I covered white cardstock with Super Adhesive Sheet. After removing the protective sheet I covered adhesive with Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft. I inked the stencil with Memento Summer Sky Ink, placed Twinkling Clouds sheet on top and run it through the Cuttlebug with embossing mat.
Same method was used for rose leaves. I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" to the white cardstock. Tape was covered with Sparkling Sea Sparkle N Soft. I inked the stencil with Memento Pear Tart ink and embossed the print to it. With a die from Spellbinder Foliage set I cut two leaves. Edges of leaves was inked with Peeled Paint Distress ink.
Here is one more view of this lovely blue rose.
You can find the full instructions of how I made this card in the SNS Gallery.
Now, head on to very creative Mayra Hernandez. She is going to blow your mind with her awesome project.
