Church Sympathy

For me sympathy cards are quite hard to make. But with Church Sympathy - Stamp Set 604 it is really easy.
http://sparklensprinkle.com/g/view_photo.php?set_albumName=Christian&id=ahl

Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and it's colored with alcohol base makers. Flower is stamped two more times, fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. Frame around the image is colored with VersaMarker and heat embossed with Blackened Bronze embossing powder.

For the matting layer I used white cardstock. I inked the edges of it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Blackened Bronze embossing powder. Pattern papers are distressed with scissors and inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink. Blue pattern paper is covered with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.

I sprinkled some Blackened Bronze embossing powder and melted it with heat tool underneath the paper. This EP is perfect for this effect.

It's time for a mid month reminder at Stamping Sensation and time to reveal the mystery prize. You have plenty of time to enter your project. Theme for this month is Anything goes. Focal element of your entry must be stamped.

Here's my simple pocket card. I made this card in the end of the November but haven't shared it with you. I love to have few cards as a back up for the times I'm not able to make a new one for a challenge.

For the main image I used the stamp from Sizzix Framelits with stamps set - Butterflies #3. Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink three times and colored with Promarkers. One of the image is die cut with matching framelit and flowers are fussy cut with scissors and popped up with foam tape. In center of each flower I used Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft, which is colored with marker.

Number 70 is printed from computer. I colored it over with Sakura Glue Pen and covered it with SNS Daisy Velvet Glitter.

Pattern papers are from Bearly Mine Design. I added digital stitching to them. Inside of the card is a pocket.

I'd like to participate on following challenges:

I decided to use lovely Nesting Bird Stamp Set on my card. Image and sentiment are stamped with Tuxedo Black ink to the white cardstock and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

I pierced holes all around the edges and draw faux stitching with pensil.  For matting layers I used kraft cardstock. To add some intres I stamped Crackle Background with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Caramel EP. Edges of the kraft CS are inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Have you tried Mega Tack Glue? This is a must have glue. I love to make my own glue dots with it. Best part is you can make them any size you need :) Watch the Video tutorial from Techniques and Tips. Glue dots part starts from 4th minutes. Bow is attached with self made glue dots.

This lovely branch is die cut from Sticker Paper. After removing the protective sheet I covered it with Luau Green Glitter. Butterflies are also die cut from Sticker Paper and covered with Bubble Gum Glitter.  Sticker Paper is colored with pink marker from behind to add deeper shade to the butterflies. Both butterflies are attached to a thin strips of acetate

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was several day's ago but I still haven't shared with you this little project I made for my Mom. I was inspired by this lovely Lori Williams project.

Flower vase is made with paper cup and it's covered with folded pattern paper. I used SNS 1/2"Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape to adhere the pattern paper to the cup. It holds really well. Lacy Lilac Glitter was glued with SNS Brushable Glue. Purple Pearl String was colored with Flexmarker and it's attached in place with Mega Tack Glue.

Word "Emale" is cut out with Memory Box dies and it's adhered to the acetate with Mega Tack Glue. Then I attached the wire behind the letter M. To hide all the glue marks I adhered each letter to the other side of the acetate also. The word "Armsale" is a PeelOff. I was so happy to get PeelOff's with Estonian words. I found them thanks to Malle. Suur tänu, Malle!

Sentiment: For Darling Mother
Then you have so many flowers on a project there has to be at least one butterfly on there too :) Butterfly is attached to an arc made of wire. Wire is covered with white satin ribbon and peal string.

Flowers are cut with Blooms Four dies. I don't remember exactly how many flowers I cut but I think it was 8 largest (colored with Peeled Paint and Pine Needle inks), 16 middle (some flower centers are inked with Dandelion and others with Pear Tart ink) and 18 smallest flowers (centers inked  with Pear Tart ink). All flowers was shaped on foam mat with stylus and attached to the Styrofoam ball (cut in half) with needles. To hide the needles head I put blob of SNS Dimensional Glue in center of each flower and covered with Canary Floking. Then everything was dry some nail heads was showing through. I decided to put Liquid Pearls on top.

Flower topper can be lift up. Inside is a room for healthy snacks :) I put dried Cranberries in there. They are unbelievable tasty.

To cover the ugly cut line on Styrofoam I cut 4 circles out of cereal box with SB Standard circles dies and clued them under the Styrofoam. I made two circles smaller then other. It will stop the topper to slip away from the base so easily.

Materials used:
Papers: White and purple cardstock, Cardboard, Pattern Paper
Dies: Spellbinders - Blooms Four, Standard Circles lrg; MemoryBox - Vivianne Butterfly, Classic Upper Alphabet
Inks: Memento - Dandelion, Pear Tart; Distress Ink - Peeled Paint, Pine Needle
Embellishments: SNS Canary Floking, SNS Lacy Lilac Glitter, Liquid Pearls Buttercup, Lace, Doily, White Satin Ribbon, Pearl String, PeelOff's

Adhesives: 1/2"Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape (SAT01), SNS Dimensional Glue, SNS Brushable Glue, Mega Tack Glue
Other supplies: Paper Cup, Needles, Styrofoam ball 7 cm, Wire, Acetate

Geraniums Easel Card

Hello my friends! We have had three seasons in one week - it started with winter, then came autumn, followed by few hours of spring and it's back to autumn now. It's too early for Geraniums to bloom outside but they look really nice indoor and on my card :)

On my today's card I used beautiful Geraniums Stamp Set. Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and it's colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I wanted to try a bit different easel stopper then I usually make. I saw it somewhere online long time ago. The easel stands behind the flowers and the flower trail will continue to the card front.

After the flowers was colored I took a die from Label One set and traced it around the flowers and fussy cut it out. I added Dimensional Glue to the flower center and covered it with Evening Glow  glitter. Matting layer for the main image is die-cut with Decorative Label One die out of Sticker Paper. I removed the protective sheet and covered it with  Fiery Fushia and Sugar Plum glitters

Flowers are cut out with Rose Creation die and inked with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I shaped them with round stylus on a foam mat. Dots of SNS Dimensional Glue was added to the flower center and covered it with Evening Glow  glitter. I also added Dimensional Glue to the petals and covered it with Fiery Fushia glitter.

Rest of the matting layers are also covered with Fiery Fushia and Sugar Plum glitters but instead of Sticker Paper I used 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape.

I changed the pattern paper with some stamping. Crackle Background Stamp is perfect to add interest to the pattern paper. Sentiment is stamped with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

Materials used:
Stamp Credit: Geraniums Stamp Set #519, Crackle Background Stamp Set #609
Glitters:  Fiery Fushia (G1004), Sugar Plum (G1096), Evening Glow (G1086)
Adhesives: 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape (SAT01), SNS Dimensional Glue (539), Sticker Paper (99558), Foam Tape
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Summer Sky; VersaMark Pad; Distress Ink - Tea Dye, Peeled Paint, Dusty Concord
Dies: Spellbinders - Label One, Decorative Label One, Rose Creations
Punches: Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Butterflies
Papers:  White Cardstock, Prima - Botanical
Coloring: Promarkers, Flexmarkers
Other supplies: Sheer Ribbon, Viva Decor Pearl Pen – Ice White

Poppies

Hello my friends! Today starts a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. The theme is simple - Anything goes with stamping.
This months prize is a mystery prize but what I can tell you for sure is that it will be a lovely collection of crafting goodies and all will be revealed later in the month.......don't we all love a bit of mystery every now and then ?

We had unusually warm April in Estonia. This inspired me to make a summer card. Strange thing is that entire winter I didn't got sick, but now then sun was shining and temperature was around 20 degree I was down with flu. The weather is chilly again and I'm back in good condition. I hope it's not going to be a regular thing.

My today's card is rather simple. I started with white card base. Front of the card is inked with Memento Lady Bug ink and I stamped a script with Rich Cocoa ink. Then I adhered vellum on top. Scene inside the Postal Stamp is inked with Broken China and Pear Tart inks. I stamped some grass with same green ink.
Poppies are die cut with Memory Box die out of white cardstock. I inked them with Lady Bug, Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint inks. Some poppies are glued to the background and other are popped up with foam tape.
Do you see this little Lady Bug in the left corner? I made this with Glossy Accents. Make a small oval with Glossy Accents to the non-porous surface. Let it dry. Color oval with alcohol base marker to look like a Lady Bug. So simple.

It's hard to understand on the photo but on the inside of the card I die cut the poppy out of the Postal Stamp. Then I added previously cut and colored poppy to the Postal Stamp. I think this technique is called as die cut inlay.

Inside of the card
Materials used:
Stamps: DoCraft Urban Stamps - Botanical Prints, Flonz Craft - Grass
Papers: White cardstock;
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities - Postage Stamps, Memory Box Die - Prim Poppy
Inks: Memento - Lady Bug, Pear Tart, Rich Cocoa; TH Distress Ink - Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Broken China
Coloring: Promarkers (Ladybugs)
Embellishments: Glossy Accents, Pergamano - White gel pen
