Nesting Bird

Today I'd like to share with you a spring card made with embossing paste, embossing powder and glitter accents. Anne Temple made a very good tutorial about Embossing Paste and Embossing Powders Technique.

For the background I used Dreamweaver Chevron Background Stencil and White Embossing Paste. While embossing paste was still wet, I covered it with Spring Willow Embossing Powder. I let the paste to dry and after that I heated it with heat tool to melt the embossing powder.

This lovely image is from Nesting Bird Stamp Set #602. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers. I added strip of cardstock which was heat embossed with Spring Willow embossing powder.

Rocks was covered with Dimensional Glue. It dries clear and will keep the dimension. I also added Dimensional Glue to the Silver Flower and covered the glue with Bronze Splendor glitter.
I used Aleene's Take It Over and Over glue to make my glitter dots. For that I added dots of glue to the leftover backing sheet from 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" and added Bronze Splendor glitter on top. After glue was dry, I picked glitter dots with x-acto knive, placed them to the card and added Dimensional Glue on top.

I also used  white Crocheted Lace Ribbon and Mon Ami Gabby Diamond Mesh to embellish my card. Narrow brown strip on the side of chevron layer is made with cardstock, 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Bronze Splendor glitter.

Blue Elegance

This is a similar card to my Beautiful Friendship card. I used same stencil and layout.

I used my favorite flower die from Spellbinders - Blooms Four. After assembling the flower, I added Brushable Glue to the petals and covered it with Waterfall glitter.
I love the fabric look of the leaves. They are die cut from Sticker Paper and covered with Grassy Green flock.

I also used Sticker Paper to make the sparkling frame which was covered with Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter.

Matting layer is made with 1/8" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter.
For the background layer I used Dreamweaver Small Damask stencil. I covered stencil with blue paint, placed white cardstock on top of it and run it through the Cuttlebug with embossing mat. That gave me a layer with raised damask pattern and colored background. After removing cardstock from stencil I added Sparkle embossing powder on top. It sticked to the places where paint was still wet (mostly to the edges of damask shapes).

Entire card front was popped up with foam tape. I added the lace and some pearls to embellish the card.

Materials used:
Stencils: Dreamweaver (Small Damask);
Embossing Powders: Sparkle (EP107);
Flocking: Grassy Green (FL103)
Glitter: Cloud Nine (GM2000), Waterfall (G1071);
Inks: Memento (Summer Sky);
Adhesives: 1/8" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape (SAT02), Sticker Paper (99558), Brushable Glue (540), Foam Tape;
Dies: Spellbinders (Floral Ovals, Classic Ovals Large, Blooms Four, Sprigs)
Cardstock:  White;
Others: Jenni Powlin Paint Dabber (Soap Powder), White Lace, Half Pearls, Pearl Sprigs;
Thank you for the visit!

Beautiful friendship

Stencils are awesome to make pretty backgrounds. With this card I want to show you that you don't always need an embossing paste to play with them.

I used piece of White cardstock covered with 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" and Petal Soft Sparkle N Soft for the background. It is dry embossed with Dreamweaver Small Damask stencil. After embossing I inked raised parts through the stencil with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

Sentiment is from Beautiful Friendship #665 stamp set. It is stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. Frame is popped up with the foam tape. Raised part of the frame is made with a scoring tool.

The flower is made with dies from Spellbinders Rose Creations set. I inked them with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. After shaping the petals and assembling the flower I brushed some Brushable Glue here and there and sprinkled Bubble Gum Glitter on top.

Flourishes are die cut with Marianne Design die out of Sticker Paper. They are covered with Reflection MicroFine Glitter. Same glitter is also used on a matting layer.

Materials used:

Sparkle N Soft: Petal Soft (SS116)
Glitter: Reflection (GM2007), Bubble Gum (G1088);

Flower Power

It is time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. Well, it's not much of a challenge this month :) Our theme is Flower Power

Don't forget you can enter up to three times with different pieces of work so increase your chances of winning this months fabulous £35 store voucher from Crafty Individuals.

Crafty Individuals is an exciting web based venture into the creative world of crafts and altered art products and produce an eclectic range of unique and top quality art rubber stamps, cutting dies, masks/stencils and paper craft products
My card is simple. It just needed lots of fussy cutting. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Daisies stamp, which was stamped four times and cut out. The sentiment layer with popped up flowers adhered on top of the Blissful Blue Sparkle N Soft layer.

The sentiment "Heartfelt congratulations" was computer generated. It don't show up on the photo but around the sentiment is inked with Broken China Distress ink.

Flowers was trimmed to fit on the square layer. Left over pieces was also added to the card. So no waist on here.

All the coloring is done with Promarkers. I added some half pearls to the center of the large flowers.

Materials used:

Sparkle N Sprinkle May Reveal

Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's
 May 1 New Reveal Blog Hop!

 This month we are doing something a little different.  Instead of releasing new stamp sets, all the Designers have been creating projects with Dreamweaver
stencils, using various techniques and products.

Be sure to visit the SNS Blog all month long, as well as the Designers' blogs (you can click on the Designers' names to go directly to their blogs) to see different techniques used with the stencils. Each Designer always posts 2 different projects to the SNS Blog and 4 different projects to their personal blogs each month.
Some of the techniques you see throughout the month is dry embossing with your stencil; double glitter technique; combining embossing pastes with glitter, embossing powders, flock, and/or guilded flakes; using the embossing paste as a resist; double embossing paste technique and lots of other fun ideas.

 All Dreamweaver stencils, soap, and embossing pastes are 20% off until May 3.  So once you finish the blog hop, head on over to the store and start shopping.
Large Feather is the stencil featured with this month's Technique Video Kit.

On May 3, one GRAND PRIZE WINNER will be selected from the comments left on the Designers' blogs.  Please leave a comment with each Designer in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  You never know who the Mystery Designer will be that has the winning comment.

The winner will be able to choose $55 worth of any products listed under the Stencils and Templates category, plus mica powders (Pearl Ex) and of course, glitters, embossing powders, flock, and sticker paper or adhesive sheets.

The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on June 3 on the SNS Facebook page, the Designer's blogs, and here on the SNS Blog.

We are pleased to have Diane and Ashley, two of our 2015 Guest Designers,  joining us again this month. They will be our Guest Designers for the months of April, May, and June.

The Blog Hop order this month is:
 Eret (you are here)
 (*Tip: if you have difficulty with a particular link, try clicking on the Designer's blog title to send you to their Home page.)

We love reading your comments and hope that we have inspired you as well.  If you can not leave a comment for some reason, please email with your comment and the name of the blog or the Designer you are commenting about.

The Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge also begins today.  There are lots of prizes and recognition badges.  Come check out how you can become a SNS Featured Artist as well.  The theme is always Anything Goes using Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, and/or Flock.

It was very difficult to choose which stencil and which technique to use. They are all very beautiful and fun to play with. As first card this month I decided to use Dreamweaver Wisteria stencil with glitters. Here's a video tutorial by Jill for this technique.

Super Adhesive Sheets are fabulous for covering large areas with glitters. You can cut it as big as you need. I used Meadow Spark glitter for leaves and Lacy Lilac for the blooms. After removing the stencil I covered rest of the sheet with Waterfall glitter.

This lovely dragonfly is from Simply Beautiful Stamp Set #589. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with markers. I added Brushable Glue to the wings and covered them with Lavender Iris glitter.
Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Meadow Spark glitter.

The sentiment is also from Simply Beautiful Stamp Set #589. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black to the white card stock. I inked the edges with Summer Sky ink.
Only embellishments I used on this card are little Blossom Sequins.

We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
Last month Diane was the Mystery Designer with the winning comment.  Wonder who it will be this month????
The next stop on our blog hop is Anne.
