Beautiful friendship

Stencils are awesome to make pretty backgrounds. With this card I want to show you that you don't always need an embossing paste to play with them.

I used piece of White cardstock covered with 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" and Petal Soft Sparkle N Soft for the background. It is dry embossed with Dreamweaver Small Damask stencil. After embossing I inked raised parts through the stencil with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

Sentiment is from Beautiful Friendship #665 stamp set. It is stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. Frame is popped up with the foam tape. Raised part of the frame is made with a scoring tool.

The flower is made with dies from Spellbinders Rose Creations set. I inked them with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. After shaping the petals and assembling the flower I brushed some Brushable Glue here and there and sprinkled Bubble Gum Glitter on top.

Flourishes are die cut with Marianne Design die out of Sticker Paper. They are covered with Reflection MicroFine Glitter. Same glitter is also used on a matting layer.

  3. Absolutely beautiful, Eret! The stencilling makes a gorgeous background. The design would work well as a photo frame too, with a photo in place of the sentiment.
