Cherries and Bird

Merry Christmas! I've always said that then Christmas are over, snow can go and make room for spring. But since we didn't had any snow at this Christmas, lets start with spring immediately.

To make the background I used Glittered Lacy Background technique with Waterfall and Cloud Nine glitters. Glitters are adered to Sticker Paper.

On top of the glittered background I used Dreamweaver Cherry Blossom Stencil and White Embossing Paste. Paste is mixed with pink with Nuance Red watercolor powder. I applied colored paste through the stencil and let it dry. Branches and leaves are colored with Promarkers. I also added dots of Dimensional Glue to the center of each blossom and covered it with Sunny Daze glitter.

Chipboard Bird is from Want2Scrap. I inked it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Cerulean Star and Electric Blue Embossing Powders. I also added some Magic Speckle EP on top. I placed the bird to the branch which was die cut out of brown cardstock with Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms die.

White frame is cut from textured cardstock and it's popped up with foam tape. To pop up the bird, I used Pop Up Dots from Glue Dots.

Materials used:
Glitters: Waterfall (G1071), Cloud Nine (GM2000), Sunny Daze (G1032);
Embossing Powders: Cerulean Star (EP433), Electric Blue (EP278), Magic Speckle (EP175);

Pink Christmas Stocking

Just few more days until Christmas... Last chance to make some holiday projects.
I used pieces from Stocking Mini Album base which are made from MDF Craftwood. It's very sturdy material.

I adhered Sticker Paper to the stocking and used Glittered Lacy Background technique to cover it. First I applied Pinkerbell glitter through the lace and after removing the lace I added Cloud Nine glitter to the rest of the sticky paper.

Top part of the stocking and heal and nose are covered with Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft. I also added some pink and gray fuzzy yarn on top edge and tied silver twine to hang the stocking. I added line of Dimensional Glue to the edges of each Sticker Paper piece.

Sentiment is from A Winter Cardinal set. It was stamped with Versamark ink and it's heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. I die cut it with Spellbinders Labels 18 die. It's inked with Distress Ink - Worn Lipstick. I also used Sakura Glue Pen to draw the border to the label. Glue is covered with mixture of Pinkerbell and Cloud Nine glitters (it was leftover from the glittered background).

Flowers was die cut with Marianne Design Small Poinsettias dies out of colored watercolor cardstock. Cardstock was colored with Red and Jade Nuance Magenta powders. I added the same mixture of Pinkerbell and Cloud Nine glitters with Brushable Glue to the petals. Yellow flower center is colored with marker. I adhered a piece of MonAmi Gabby Silver Diamond Mesh to the middle. I also added drop of Dimensional Glue to the center of diamond (on the photo, it's not entirely dried. That's why it looks milky. But it will dry completely clear)

On the following photo you can see that behind the sentiment is a pocket for some goodies.
To you notice the nice and clean sides of the stocking? It was easy to cover the sides with 1/8"Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and glitters. Thickness of the stocking is exactly 1/8". Flowers are adhered with Glue Dots - Pop Up Dots.

Acetate Pillowbox

Here's a little idea how to give a small gift at this Christmas. It needs some time but it's all worth it. Here's my version of a pillow box.

First step is to find a template. Just search "pillowbox template" in google and you get several templates. Print it out to the regular copy paper and adhere acetate sheet with double sided tape on top of the template (place tape outside of the box lines). I used SNS Clear Embossable Acetate. I stamped Diamond Medallion with Versamark ink to the acetate. Then I heat embossed it with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. Next thing you need to do is score all the score lines from the template in to the acetate. After this is done follow the template and cut the pillow box out. Then it's time to fold the score lines and tape the box together with double sided tape. I used 3/4"Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape.

Be sure to stamp the image to the both ends of the box (I mean the ends you tape together). Stamping will hide the double sided tape.
For the belly band I adhered 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape to the white carsstock and covered the tape with Cloud Nine glitter. I cut the glittered strip of CS out and wrapped it around the box.

I stamped five flowers from Christmas Poinsettia set to the watercolor cardstock with StazOn Jet Black ink. I sprinkled Nuance Magenta watercolor powders all over the flowers and spritzed with water to make the color run. Little powder goes a long way. I used Red for the petals and Jade for the leaves. I also added some Peeled Paint Distress ink to the leaves. I cut the flowers out with scissors, each layer is smaller then other. With Brushable Glue I added some Cloud Nine glitter to the petals. Flower center is made with Dimensional Glue and Golden Wheat glitter.

 To add some more texture I adhered white twine behind the flower.

Materials used:
Stamp CreditsDiamond Medallion #530, Christmas Poinsettia #690;
GlittersCloud Nine (GM2000), Golden Wheat (GM2026);

Black Eye Susan Easel card

Happy Holiday Season! Today is a start for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. Our theme is simple: Anything goes with stamp and ribbon. I made an easel card which was inspired from Autumn. Although, then I look outside, the weather is exactly the same. Snow, where are you? It's December already!

Our sponsor this month is Crafty Ribbons and this is the fabulous prize for one lucky winner

They have wonderful ribbon selection. I used two of the on my card. 15mm Yellow Sheer Ribbon was pleated behind the image panel with double sided tape. I love how it looks. I also added cotton lace to both sides of the diagonal fold.

I used old stamp from Alota named Black Eye Susan. Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and it's colored with Promarkers. Edges of the image layer are inked with Cracked Pistachio Distress ink.

Sentiment says "Happy Birthday". It is popped up with foam tape to act like a stopper for the easel.
All the burgundy matting layers are made out of white cardstock. I just colored the edges with marker.

For embellishments I used square self adhesive rhinestones. Edges of the pattern papers are inked with Fossilized Amber Distress ink.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Alota (Black Eye Susan);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Distress Ink (Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber);
Dies: Nellie Snellen (Photo Frames), Spellbinders (Classic Ovals Large, Labels Eighteen), Cheery Lynn Designs (Fanciful Flourish Right);
Cardstock: White, Prima (Jody Lee Butterfly);
All others: Crafty Ribbons (15mm Sheer Ribbon - Yellow, cotton lace, square rhinestone embellishments), Foam tape, Double sided tape;

I made an Acetate card with adorable penguins from Fuzzy Wishes stamp set #670. Image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers. I stamped the image to the Post-It Note paper and cut it out. I used it as a mask to ink the background behind the penguins with Salty Ocean Distress ink. I sprinkled some Super Thick White Embossing Powder around the image and melted them with heat tool from underneath. To make the penguins stand in the snow I used Dimensional Glue and Sparkling Snow glitter. Same glue and glitter was also used on Santa's hat. Matting layer behind the image is die cut out of white cardstock. I added some Salty Ocean ink through the die stencil. Entire layer is inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Sparkle EP.

Card front is made with Clear Embossable Acetate. I stamped snowflakes from Snow One Like You  stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Detail EP.

On following photo you can see this lovely acetate card front much better.

The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and it's heat embossed with  Black Detail EP. Little penguin is colored with Promarkers. I added Sparkling Snow glitter to his hat with Sakura Glue Pen

Inside panel is inked with Salty Ocean, Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Inks. Then I stamped border from Fuzzy Wishes set with Versmark ink and heat embossed with Sparkle EP. I added some more blue ink around the embossing to make it pop up slightly better.
I sprinkled Super Thick White Embossing Powder all around the background and melted them with heat tool from underneath. It looks like a falling snow.

The next stop on our blog hop is Irit. Have fun!
