Bee Mine

At the Sparkle N Sprinkle we had three fabulous stamp sets revealed on early this month, but Honey Bees #775 is my favorite. Probably because this stamp set reminds a summer. I love summer.
I decided to make a shaped card this time.

Bee Mine

I used Digital Version of the Honey Bees stamp set. I draw hexagon frame around the image and printed it to the white cardstock. It's colored with Promarkers and it's fuzzy cut around bottom of the flowers and hexagon frame. Sky is inked with Broken China Distress ink. I also printed another copy of flowers, colored them and fuzzy cut three center flowers. They are popped up with foam tape on top of the base image. I added Dimensional Glue to every flower centers and covered it with Canary Flocking.

Bee Mine

I love digtal stamps. It's very easy to manipulate them. That's what I did with the sentiment. I separated it on two and resized them to fit the MemoryBox Precious Hearts die cuts. Words was printed to the white cardstock and die cutted. I colored hearts with markers and added coat of Dimensional Glue on top. Yellow pearl in center of bows is actually white pearl cut from Want 2 Scrap Sleek Strips Pearls. I colored it yellow with marker.

Bee Mine

To make the yellow background I inked white cardstock with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. Then I used MemoryBox Honey Comb Stenciland rubber mat with die cutting machine to dry-emboss honeycomb pattern to the cardstock. I applied light touches of Versamark ink the the cardstock and covered it with Sparkle Embossing Powder. It was heat set with heat tool.

Bee Mine

I played with digis from the set to make inside of the card. After printing it out, I inked it slightly with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. Bees was colored with markers.

Bee Mine

All matting layers was cat from white cardstock. I used black marker to color the sides and adhered 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape to the edges. After adhering layers on top I covered rest of the tape with Black Suede Microfine Glitter.

Luck O' the Irish

Can you see in this card how much I miss spring. All these greens and yellow colors look so nice after long winter.

This image is a Digital version from new Lucky Charm #776 stamp set. I printed it out and colored it with Promarkers. With Sakura Glue Pen I added Sunny Daze glitter to the ribbon and Lady Luck  glitter to the center of the glovers. I used Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles dies to cut the image out. Stitch lines was drawn with green pen.

Sentiment is from same stamp set. It is matted to the piece of cardstock which was covered with Super Adhesive Sheets. Sticky edges was covered with Lady Luck Glitter.

Background layer was die cut with dies from Tonic Trellis Circles Base Die Set out of white cardstock. To make the layer thet peeks through the holes I covered piece of white cardstock with Super Adhesive Sheets and Sunny Daze Glitter. I planned to keep the holey layer white but I changed my mind after it was adhered on top of the glittered layer. White was inked with Moved Lawn Distress ink. Glitter picked some green too and therefore changed it color slightly. I like that it isn't so bright any more.

Pieces of Want 2 Scrap Couture Swirls pearls was added to the two corners.

This was my card for Today. I hope it stops snowing soon to make the room for Spring.

Mixed Media Frame

I'm here with a mixed media project. I played with Want 2 Scrap chipboard, SNS glitters and embossing powders and with other fun products.

I'll start with Want 2 Scrap Dress Form by Laurel Lane. It's huge. It's perfect for Scrapbook layout but not so good for a card maker. I hope I'll remember  to check the measurements before ordering supplies next time. But I'm happy I made this mistake. Otherwise this mixed media project wouldn't born :)
This Dress Form comes in two pieces: silhouette and intricate dress. I painted both of them with white Gesso and let them dry. Silhouette layer was covered with  Brushable Glue and Bubble Gum Glitter. Intricate layer was inked with Versamark ink. To the dress part I added White Detail Embossing Powder and to the leg Silver Detail EP. I applied two coats of EP for a better coverage. To decorate the dress I stamped feathers from Bird Song stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with markers. The ribbon was covered with Sakura Glue Pen and Bubble Gum Glitter. I also added Want 2 Scrap white pearls to the belt.

For the background I used left over piece from Want 2 Scrap Vintage Fancy Frames. I painted the Chipboard with white Gesso and let it dry. I added brick pattern with Want 2 Scrap Brick Stencil and Dreamweaver White Embossing Paste. Stenciling was left uneven. I also added brick pattern to the watercolor cardstock in same way. Embossing paste was added to some places with stiff brush. Everything was colored with  Gray Nuance water-soluble powder and Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist (Caribbean Blue and Crushed Shells). Watercolor cardstock was added behind the Chipboard layer holes.

One chipboard frame was used on this project. I covered it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. I added another layer ink and EP for smoother look. While EP was still warm I added Velvet Sparkle EP on top and melted it with heat tool.
Sentiment is from Bird Song  set. It was stamped with Versamark ink to the white cardstock and heat embossed with Silver Detail EP. I inked the layer with Salty Ocean Distress ink. Birds are die cut out of black cardstock with Spellbinders die: Birds on Wire.  Layer underneath is inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Detail EP and then with Velvet Sparkle EP. Frame is popped up with foam tape.

To add some greenery I used leaves I had left from another project. They were die cut with Spellbinders Sprigs die out of Sticker Paper and covered with Luau Green Microfine Glitter. Flowers are die cut with Spellbinders Hydrangea die out of white cardstock which was previously colored with marker to light purple. I cut some small white pearls from Want 2 Scrap Sleek Strips Pearls and adhered them to flowers centers.

One frame hole was covered from the back side with Embossable Clear Acetate. You can place a photo behind it. I printed out a  Digital version of Lucky Charm stamp and colored it with markers. For the ribbon I added Bubble Gum Glitter with Sakura Glue Pen.

On following photo you can see how the frame stand. Edges are covered with white satin ribbon. Only the place where the picture is entered is left as it is.

It was messy, time consuming and very fun project to make. I hope you like it.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Bird Song #496, Lucky Charm #776 Digital version (Digi776j);
Glitters: Bubble Gum (G1088), Luau Green (GM2004);
Embossing Powders: White Detail (EP298), Velvet Sparkle (EP437), Silver Detail (EP257);

Flower Power

Can you believe it's March already. March is a very busy month. There are so many Birthdays among my family and friends. For me it means traveling from one side of Estonia to another. Good thing that our country is small and that I live almost in the middle of it. Then this blog post goes up, I'm in Saaremaa - largest island of Estonia.
As always, on the first Sunday of the month it's time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. We have simple theme for you: Flower Power. Stamping (real thing or digi) must be focal point.

Our sponsor is BeCreative.
We are very pleased to welcome back 'be Creative!' as our sponsor this month. They have their own super range of design papers and coordinating embellishments plus so much more and you can browse their store here. News and new products are also on their Facebook where you will see some ideas for using the new products and you can also order from here.  They can also be seen regularly on Hochanda TV and have a Design Team blog here.
Here is the Prize. Design papers, pearls and gems galore!

The image I used on my card is a digital coloring page found in Internet. I printed it to the white cardstock and colored with Promarkers. I also added some Salty Ocean Distress ink around the edges.
Because this Birthday card was used on February, I added some 'snow' to it with Super Thick White Embossing Powder.

Background layer was inked with Tattered Rose Distress ink. Top part of it was stamped with Cracked Background stamp and Versamark ink. I covered ink with Opaline Embossing Powder and used heat tool to melt the powder. Then I add more Tattered Rose Distress ink on top.

Sentiment is my own. It says: "Heartfelt congratulations". Decorative edge underneath the image is die cut with Loopy Lace die out of white cardstock. I inked it with Versamark ink, added Silver Detail Embossing Powder on top and melted it with heat tool. I added one more coat of Embossing Powder for smoother and thicker result.

Left panel on the inside of the card is made same way as the pink layer on the card front. Edges of the matting layers was heat embossed with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. Flower image is also a digital coloring page from Dovers.

This was my clean and simple Flower Power Birthday card. I hope you share your project with us at  Stamping Sensation. Go check the blog for details and lots of inspiration. There are so many beautiful flower cards from Design Team.

I'm not a big fan of bees but this new Honey Bees stamp set has won my heart. It's so cute. I had so much fun to make cards with it. On today's card I used Digital Version DIGI775 of the same set. I made one image smaller and flipped it horizontally. I also added some extra flowers to fill the space (it is visible on the last photo). Larger image was fuzzy cut with scissors. All the coloring was done with Promarkers.

Sentiment is also from the same digi set. I placed it inside of the circle  and printed them out. I used circle as a guide to cut it out with scissors. I adhered piece of Super Adhesive Sheets to the scrap piece of cardstock and used Spellbinders circle die to die cut it out. I adhered sentiment to the center and covered rest of the sticky with Black Suede Microfine Glitter. I also added some White Want 2 Scrap Sleek Strips Pearls for decoration.

The bee on following photo is made the same way as is the sentiment.
With grass I went messy. I sprinkled Nuance water-soluble powder (Jade) to the white cardstock and spritzed water on top. I like the color variations it gave. After my self-made green cardstock was dry I used PoppyStamps Grassland Border die to die cut strips of grasses. To add even more color I inked it with Peeled Paint and Moved Lawn Distress Inks.

To make my sparkly spring background I adhered piece of Super Adhesive Sheets to the white cardstock. With x-acto knife I cut the top layer to make the frame. I removed protective sheet only from the edges and covered the sticky with Black Suede glitter. After that I peeled off rest of the protective sheet and then the Dreamweaver Cherry Blossom Stencil came in to the play. I rubbed Hawaiian Coconut & Palm Oil Soap to the back side of the stencil and placed it back side down to the Adhesive Sheet. I added Ballerina and Cloud Nine glitters through the stencil. After stencil was removed I covered rest of the sticky with Waterfall glitter. Tree branches and leaves was colored with markers.

It was very fun to make this card and I love the outcome. Hope you like it too and got some ideas.

Now, the next stop on our blog hop is very talented Diane.

We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.
 Wonder who the Mystery Host will be this month????
