Hi! Today I have a Christmas card to share with you.

This beautiful bird is from A Winter Cardinal Stamp Set #518. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink to the white cardstock. I colored it with Promarkers. To the pine needles I added Meadow Spark glitter with Sakura Glue Pen. His beak, eye and claws are covered with Dimensional Glue. It will dry clear and it keeps the dimension.

Frame around the bird is a Want 2 Scrap chipboard from Vintage Fancy Frames set. I inked it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Super Thick Gold Embossing Powder. After first layer of EP was melted I added another coat of ink and EP, and melted the powder again.

I colored piece of white cardstock with Jade Nuance water-soluble powder and die cut two branches with a die from Creative Expressions Holly Sprays set. I added bit more color to them with Pine Needles and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. I colored berries with red marker and added Dimensional Glue on top.

To make the illusion that Holly sprays are tied together I added a bow on top of their meeting point. It's made with Mon Ami Gabby Iridescent/Gold 1/8" Pull Ribbon.

Background layer is very simple - I just covered Sticker Paper with Celestial glitter. Leftover glittered Sticker Paper was used to decorate the inside of the card.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: A Winter Cardinal #518;
Glitters: Meadow Spark (G1014), Celestial (G1031);
Embossing Powders: Super Thick Gold (EP235);

A Bird Song

Today I want to share a Spring card. I played with SNS embossing powders, Want 2 Scrap chipboards and used a little piece of leftover from another card.

Birds are from Want 2 Scrap Small Bird Flourish set. I used two out of three birds. Both of them  was inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Super Thick White Embossing Powder. While EP was still warm I added Ocean Marbled EP on top leaving beak and belly white. I colored eye and beak with markers.
Birds are sitting on the branches which was die cut with Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms dies out of white cardstock. Branches was inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink and blossoms was colored with pink marker (actually I colored white cardstock to pink before die cutting the blossoms). In center of blossoms are small white pearls from Want 2 Scrap Sleek Strips Pearls.

Sentiment is from Bird Song stamp set. It's stamped with Versamark ink to the vellum and it's heat embossed with Satin Velvet EP. I draw lines to the top and bottom edges of the vellum with White Gel Pen.

It was so much fun to make the background. First I spritzed water to the white cardstock and then sprinkled Gray Nuance water-soluble powder to the bottom part of the cardstock. I added water and powder until I was happy with the result. After everything was dry I stamped feathers from Bird Song set with Versamark ink to the cardstock and heat embossed them with Clear EP. Then I inked it with Broken China, Salty Ocean, Peeled Paint, Moved Lawn and  Evergreen Bough Distress Inks. I like how some gray speckles are peeking through the ink and feathers. I also added some drops of water to remove ink on some areas.

In March I made a card with Dreamweaver Cherry Blossom Stencil. I cut an circular window to that card and didn't need that circle. I just couldn't throw it away, so I saved it for another card. It was made withSuper Adhesive Sheets, Dreamweaver Cherry Blossom Stencil, Ballerina, Cloud Nine and Waterfall glitters and markers to color the twigs and leaves. This leftover piece inspired to make me Today's card. But now I'm left with another circle which comes from the feather background...

Before cutting the circle out from the background layer I adhered a die cut strip made with Spellbinders Fancy Lattice die. I added pieces from Want 2 Scrap Couture Swirls to two corners.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Bird Song #496;
Glitters: Ballerina (GM2024), Cloud Nine (GM2000), Waterfall (G1071);
Embossing Powders: Clear (EP120), Super Thick White (EP235), Ocean Marbled (EP438), Satin Velvet (EP209);
InksDistress Ink (Broken China, Salty Ocean, Peeled Paint, Moved Lawn, Evergreen Bough, Vintage Photo), Versamark;
Coloring MediumNuance water-soluble powder (Gray), Promarkers;
Super Adhesive Sheets, Foam Tape;
Dies: Spellbinders (Standard Circles Large, Fancy Lattice, Cherry Blossoms);

EmbellishmentsWant 2 Scrap (Small Bird Flourish, Sleek Strips Pearls - White, Couture Swirls);
Cardstock: White, Vellum;
All others: Dreamweaver Stencil (Cherry Blossom), Hawaiian Coconut & Palm Oil Soap, White Gel Pen;

Wisps of Autumn

Spring is finally here in Estonia. Slowly grass is turning green and some Spring flowers are blooming already. Despite of lovely Spring I'm sharing an Autumn card instead.  I had so much fun to play with Want 2 Scrap products.

I used Wisps of Autumn Stamp set. I stamped the image two times to the white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with markers and fuzzy cut them out by leaving narrow white border all around.  I covered acorns with Dimensional Glue. The glue dries clear and keeps it dimension leaving lovely shiny coat.

Sentiment is stamped with a Versamark ink to the vellum. I added Coffee embossing powder on top and heat embossed it. I wanted vellum to be inside of the frame. This way the background is still shown but it mutes the colors down.

Now to the fun part. I took one frame from the Want 2 Scrap Vintage Fancy Frames set and painted it with white Gesso. After it was dry I inked it with Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.  To add some interest I took a text stamp from Journal Mixed Media set and stamped with Tuxedo Black ink first to the scrap paper and then on top of the frame. Then I covered entire frame with Versamark ink and Super Thick Clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. Love the outcome.

To make the background layer I added the Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Pine Needles, Spiced Marmalade and Tea Dye Distress Inks to the  plastic sheet, spritzed it with water and smudged the white cardstock in to the wet inks. Then it was dried I randomly stamped text from Journal Mixed Media set with Tea Dye ink. Then I took Want 2 Scrap Brick Stencil and White Dreamweaver Embossing Paste and added some bricks to the two corners. After embossing paste was dry I spritzed Blue Lime Cosmic Shimmer Mist on top.

I also sprinkled some Super Thick White and Copper Flame embossing powder speckles to the background and heat embossed from underneath. Other way they just fly off.

Most time I use white cardstock as a matting layers. I just color the edges with the marker to suit my needs. This time I used green and brown marker for that. Then I took 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and covered the edges with that. After I adhered the background layer to the center I covered rest of the tape with Parisian Mist and Bronze Splendor glitters. Those glitters are opaque so it doesn't matter what color the cardstock underneath it is but from the sides you'll still see it.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Wisps of Autumn #647, Journal Mixed Media #606;
Glitters: Parisian Mist (G1037), Bronze Splendor (G1012);
Embossing Powders: Super Thick Clear (EP230), Super Thick White (EP235), Copper Flame (EP355), Coffee (EP459);
Inks: Distress Ink (Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Pine Needles, Spiced Marmalade, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo), Memento (Tuxedo Black), Versamark;
Coloring Medium: White Gesso, Promarkers, Cosmic Shimmer Mist (Blue Lime);
Adhesives: 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape (SAT01), Dimensional Glue (539);
Embellishments: Want 2 Scrap (Vintage Fancy Frames);
Cardstock: White, Vellum;
All others: Want 2 Scrap (Brick Stencil), Dreamweaver Embossing Paste (White);
Thank you for the visit!

One for the Girl

It's time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. The theme is One for a Girl

Our sponsor this month is PDA Card & Craft who are very generously offering one lucky winner a £40 voucher.

I made a box with an easel topping for my niece.. It's a simple matchbox style box. I sandwiched it between scalloped edged card base where I added extra score lines and made an easel on top.

Then I saw a Rapunzel- Tangled by O-cha-ra lineart in Devianart, I knew I have to use this image on my niece card - they look very similar. I used Promarkers to color the image and added some Cristal Stickles to the flowers on her hair. It's cut out with Spellbinders Labels 18 die. Light blue matting layer is die cutted with largest die from  Spellbinders Decorative Labels One set out of white cardstock. It's inked with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and cut in four pieces. I pieced back together to match the Label 18 shape better.

Pattern papers are from Studio Light JBS Collection. I added some Stickles to the butterflies and framed the edges with same Stickles. All matting layers are inked with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.

There must have flowers on a girl card, right?! I added some store bought roses to the card. Leaves underneath them are die cut with Spellbinders Sprigs die. As usually, I ct them out of white cardstock and inked them with Mowed Lawn Distress ink. To the right side of the flower cluster I tucked white thread and light blue pearl string.

 For easel stopper I used Lace and sentiment which was printed out. I also added few white pearls.

I attached one Moonstone Brad to the box to make it easier to open the drawer.

That's all from me Today. Go check the Stamping Sensation blog to see what you have to do to participate on the challenge. And you'll get lots of inspiration as well.

Materials used:
Inks: Distress Ink (Salty Ocean, Milled Lavender, Mowed Lawn);
Coloring Medium: Promarkers;

DiesSpellbinders (Decorative Labels One, Labels Eighteen, Sprigs);
Stickles (Crystal), Roses, White Thread, Pearl string, Moonstone brad;

It is so much fun to play with chipboards. Want 2 Scrap has lots of beautiful an intricate chipboards. You can make fabulous scrapbook layouts, cards and other things with them. Today's card I used one of the frames from Vintage Fancy Frames set. This set has 4 gorgeous frames. Last month I shared a project using the background piece of where the frames came in.

Frame was colored with White Gesso. After it was dry I squeezed Raspberry Pink Nuvo Crystal Drops on top and brushed it all over the frame. Love this worn look.

Sentiment is from Donna's Stylin Sayings stamp set #777. It is stamped to the vellum with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

Roses are die cut with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies out of white cardstock. I used Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick Distress inks to color them. Chris wrote a very good tutorial how to make them. I added Celestial glitter to the petals with Brushable Glue. Green leaves under the roses are from my leftovers basket. If I remember correctly, they are die cut with dies from the same set, colored with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress inks and on top I spritzed Perfect Pearl Mist. Tall leaf branch is colored with same inks but it's without the Mist. I also tucked some white thread and Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork die cut behind the roses.

I stamped speckles and brush strokes (under the roses) from the Donna's Stylin Sayings set with Versamark ink to the pattern paper and heat embossed with Gilded Ivory embossing powder. I cut Want 2 Scrap white Sleek Strips Pearls in pieces and adhered some pearls randomly. I also made some pink pearls with Raspberry Pink Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Left and right edge of the matting layer was covered with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Celestial glitter.

The next stop on our blog hop is Diane. Have fun!
