Corner Garden

Hello my friends! I hope you have wonderful Easter! Today I want to share a flower card made with digital papers, digi images and stamped sentiment.
Sparkle N Sprinkle Corner Garden Digi Bundle comes with beautiful vibrant digi papers. Sadly you don't see those vibrant colors on my card. I bought a new printer and we had a rough start... But I think those papers are lovely anyway.

In my computer I placed flower corner image directly to the orange/pink pattern paper and printed it out. This image is in .png format, so it has clear background with black and white image. Leaves are colored with Promarkers.

To make colorful flowers and butterflies I placed images on top of the pattern papers again but this time I erased the white color. This way color of the paper showed through. But if you don't have a suitable program to do it, or you just don't want to mess with it, there is an easier way: First print out the pattern papers, then place same paper back to the printer and then print images on top. Flowers are fussy cut against the lines but for the butterflies I left a narrow white border all around.
Centers of the flowers, butterflies bodies and swirls are covered with Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Drops. I also added Lavender Iris with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to the flowers and butterflies.

Sentiment is from Corner Garden rubber stamp set. It is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Amethyst Spray Embossing Powder.
I placed a white frame around the sentiment. With Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen I added a Black Suede Microfine Glitter to the inner part of the frame.

Edges of the background paper are also covered with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Black Suede Microfine Glitter. I placed some dots of Nuvo Jewel Drops (Rose WaterOrange Marmalade) all around the card.

  1. Eret, I love what you have done with that sentiment, by placing the frame askew, and the sentiment straight across! Your design is marvelous with the vibrant colors, and your amazing coloring of the flowers. So happy for you with the new printer. It seems like printers should be fairly straightforward and easy, but each new one seems to get harder to master for me. I finally got a fantastic printer, but it won't work with Copics or Watercolors! How disappointing. So I purchased an older (retired) model to use just for Copics. Lucky for me it was only $30 brand new! So now we have 2 printers - one strictly for printing digitals to color, and the other for everything else. Sheesh!

I always enjoy visiting your blog to learn combinations of techniques, and how you choose to use products. This is lovely!

On a personal note... hope you are enjoying your "new" home, that your daughter is happy and healthy, that all is well for your family - Happy Easter, Eret! hugs, de

  2. Very fun combination of the digi and stamped set Eret. Love the coloring too!

Thank you so much for your comment. It is always so nice to read them. Hugs and smiles. Eret
